I'm willing to pay the somewhat higher prices just because this IGA seems very well run. The cashiers have always been solid IMO.

It is no surprise that this is considered one of the BEST IGA"s in Quebec.

It is a joy to shop at this IGA for my family's needs.from the time I step in to the store- up until and including when I check out with the cashiers. Here are a few examples as to why. The staff are uber helpful .If you ask an employee in passing where an item may be located -They actually take you to the aisle and to the item -and they do it kindly with a smile.

The meat department has excellent quality choices. For example, recently, I ordered an Organic turkey for Thanksgiving from Mireille - who is always uber patient and helpful and I needed some grain fed chickens cut up by Yan who is also soooo kind and helpful .Everything was packed beautifully and super fresh. My 92 yr old mom said it was the BEST turkey she ever tasted.- and the freshest chickens .

The fruits and vegies section are nicely stocked and very fresh. The sales items are great dollar value.

The fish section is another favorite department. It is very important to me that the fish I buy is uber fresh and this fish dept A:LWAYS delivers . It is no wonder that I was told that the local fire dept buys their fish their too. After all these years John the manager and Michael know I will often stock up with salmon when there is a good sale and it is packaged beautifully - no freezer burn and my special treat - during lobster season - the steamed lobster is sooo delicious and fresh and the prices are excellent and very competitive .

I named a few in both the fish and meat dept.-but - Alll the staff in the fish and meat dept are always ready to help out.

The organic section has lots of choices , I often buy on special while trying new products.

It also makes me happy that the store is kept so orderly and sooooo clean . It adds to to the enjoyment for shopping and this all continues - lovely , gracious service - right thru to check out with the cashiers and those who help bag my groceries. .

I especially like reviewing my bill at the end and seeing that I often save upwards of 20% on the weekly specials - which covers the few treats , I choose for myself.

Store is beautiful, a bit expensive though. Customer service, quality of products, and friendliness is excellent. You pay for the experience. Still worth it

Great customer experience. Can be a little crowded at times but it's worth it for their fresh fruits and vegetables. They also have a huge variety of vegan products.

Great produce, good sales, great pastries and deli selection including cheeses. Well maintained and overall great place to shop.

Great clean location, well stocked lots of good quality products. Yes its a bot more in cost than other groceries but only on items you may not get at other places.

I just recently moved to Lachine in December and I have to say I really enjoy passing by the seafood department. Micheal is THE best! Super energetic, helpful, funny and kind. I always buy more than I came for and Max helped me out as well and guided ne to buy the appropriate Salmon to make a Salmon tartar! These guys are amazing! I hope they get the raise they deserve when the time is right! 😉😉😉 Merci IGA LACHINE🙏👏👏🙌👍

I love shopping at the IGA in l a c h i n e it's clean and they have so much food that you can pick from you have every choice you want with the homemade food on the counters there are food but are different and delicious and the cashiers people on the floor behind the counters they are so polite if you speak in French they speak to you in French that's the first language they use and if you go speak English they come back to you in English which is a very nice service to have because there are a lot of English speaking people I just love that store it's one of the best iga's from LaSalle to d o r v a l and point Claire I've been in all their stores and this is one of the best anyways you guys have a nice day stay safe

UPDATE: I HAVE HAD AN UNACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AT IGA.
I ENTERED THE STORE AS I DO TWO TIMES PER WEEK. I HAD MY GROCERY BAGS WITH ME AS I ALWAYS DO, WHEN I WAS APPROACHED AND TOLD TO LEAVE THE STORE DUE TO NO BAGS WERE ALLOWED. I PROTESTED TO THE THE SECURITY PERSON AND ASKED TO SEE HIS BOSS. HE TOLD ME THAT WAS NOT POSSIBLE. I WENT TO THE "COURTESY COUNTER" AND EXPLAINED MY SITUATION, THEY SAID IT WAS DUE THEFT AND THAT THEY WERE NOT ALLOWED TO SEARCH MY BAGS WHEN LEAVING THE STORE. THAT WAS A POOR ANSWER IN MY OPINION. THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO DO ANYTHING. THEY SAID THAT I MUST TAKE A GROCERY CARRIAGE AND ONLY BUY ITEMS IN THAT MANNER. I TOLD THEM THAT I SHOP AT THE LOCAL MAXI STORE AND THEY DO NOT INTIMIDATE AND PREVENT ME FROM SHOPPING AT THEIR GROCERY STORE. I LEFT IGA AND TOLD THEM THAT THEY HAVE LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER. MAXI HAS RECENTLY ADDED SELF SERVE CHECKOUT AND HAS IMPROVED ALL OF THEIR DEPARTMENT WITH EXCELLENT SALES AND SERVICE.
Excellent fruit & vegetables, bakery, dairy, deli, health food, spirits and snacks. Parking area always has free space and speed bumps control traffic. Staff are eager to help when asked. This WAS the best run grocery store that I've ever experienced in the neighbourhoods that I have lived, both in and out of MTL.

I used to shop here all the time, when I lived in the area. The store has a great selection of fresh fruit, vegetables, baked goods, deli counter, wine, coffee, etc. I always preferred shopping at IGA stores when I lived in Montreal.

All right IGA here in Lachine what can I say I've never liked IGA it's always been Quebec was shopping center the French police most employees only speak French and their prices are always high even when they say they have a special happening there special prices as the high-end prices at other shopping centers what are foods are fresh stir breads are freshly made daily the deli counter is phenomenal I definitely suggest for people to come buy printer English whatever language you speak you'll be happy about this place I definitely give it a 5-star rating

Very good selection of produce and packaged foods. Lots of staff ready to assist. Very clean and organized displays and arrangement of merchandise.

Excellent variety of fresh food: meat, fish, vegetables, fruits... Meals prepared are also really well done here.

This grocery store has a great selection of fresh products and produce. I like going there as you can usually find anything you want there.
