Giant Tiger

This is a great place to shop and save money for your grocery and basic needs like clothing, supplies and so on. This is not Walmart but carries many budget items and friendly staff and great return policy. Weekly specials are amazing for stocking up, the plants are the cheapest and great for gifts. Seasonal items are often discounted and a great buy. Clothings are with current fashion and with great colours. Great place for families and kids and shop to have fun and also save money.

This new location is much bigger. Neat and well designed. They have very sophisticated self check out machines better than Loblaws. It was nice and easy to use and most Importantly, I was very happy to use them because I didn't have to deal with those old grumpy cashiers with angry attitude which was a big problem in the past with GT.

UPDATE:

Went there today and these guys are trying their best to keep the prices low amidst rising food prices. This is one of few businesses who really cares about the consumers and keep an eye on their prices. Not just advertise few items cheap and rip you off from other in-store high marks up item.

Wow .. gotta be the biggest Giant Tiger around . Love the renos they've done. Hadn't been here in some time and was pleasantly surprised. Great store. Super groceries section. And tons of stuff for the whole house and family.

They Made some huge upgrades in the store. Been going to this gianttiger my whole life. It's by far one of the best Giant Tigers in the city. Very clean & tidy as well.

New head office and store is beautiful. The staff are all super nice as well. Store is clean and well stocked.

The store is closing on March 6 and will re-open inside a brand new store attached to the main office building located right next to it. I wanted to go inside the old building before it closes officially. It will be a much needed change! The building locks really old. The remaining food and products were sparse but with excellents price cuts. The new Giant Tiger store will be a nice change.

The Giant Tiger store located at 2480 Walkey road has undergone a major renovation by opening up another large modern shopping complex beside the older store. Giant Tiger is proud to be known as a low cost Canadian grocery/ clothes and household goods store. This makes it a great place to shop in direct competition with walmart. The new store's prices are great especially on featured sales and lots of people take advantage of this. Maybe you can save going there too because this Giant Tiger store is Grrrrrr eat!

This is Giant Tiger's flagship store, right next to their Ottawa headquarters. Nice location. Everything is well organized. Lots of parking available.

The new store is bright, clean and seems to have a much better selection of goods than the old store. I highly recommend this one.
