Don Chendo North Vancouver

I have been meaning to pop into this store since they opened! Today, my daughter and I finally dropped by. We were pleasantly impressed because It’s like a fiesta! Firstly it’s super festive, great music(but not too loud that it’s annoying)! Well lit, organized, clean, lots of Mexican goodies, meal preps and great prices. Daniel was not only friendly but he was also very helpful and knowledgeable of course! We bought a few snacks and will definitely return for the family meal prep! We are so glad that Don Chendo is in our neighborhood! We wish them all the very best! North/West Van, please support Don Chendo! Highly recommend! ❤

I was on my way to grab a coffee from Moja that I end up at this cute Mexican heaven .
They have everything you need for making a Mexican fiesta at home . You named it from treat to all kind of sauce and pans .
I end up buying the Fajita pan , guacamole stone bowl and bunch of cheese and sauce .
Will highly recommend and will diffidently go back soon .
The price is amazing , even cheaper from brining stuff from Mexico yourself .
The owner Daniel is no nice explains all type of cheese and sauces for me .

Have been several times to shop here. My late husband was Mexican so we cook Mexican food alot. We buy salsas, chilies, tortillas, tostadas, chorizo, cheeses etc here. Since they supply the other Latino stores it is cheaper to buy here from their retail front. My friend loves the variety of Mexican candies that remind her of childhood. Highly recommend this place.

I love this store. It was time for a friendly local Mexican store to happen! Prices are very reasonable. Their family meals are delicious as well as all their other products. However what sets this store apart is the service they provide. They are genuine and friendly and always help me find what I need.

Great variety of mexican products and good prices, from tortillas, candies, chips, artesanal candies, flavourful for eater, sodas, soups, salsas, beans, cookies, piñatas, etc.

This is such a friendly shop, with an extensive selection of Mexican products. I feel really lucky to have Don Chendo on the North Shore. Highly recommend.

Visited this shop for the first time today and was very happy with the experience. The store is very well stocked, they had all the dried chillies I was looking for. They have loads of mexican ingrediants to select from and prepared foods as well.
The workers are very genuine, helpful and friendly.

Great selection of Mexican dry ingredients and snacks. The frozen 'al pastor' meat was a bit mild for my taste, but I'd buy it again.

I've heard of this store from a Mexican restaurant. My family and I just stopped to see what products they have. We end up buying lots. I tried the pork carnitas, the flour tortillas delicious. The corn tortillas for tacos!! I've been eating lots. Great options 👌 100 % recommended.

Great little store. I'm English but love Mexican food. They have the best selection of hot sauces there. Really friendly service and a beautiful store. Great to have this in the neighborhood

If you’re ever nearby you should stop in to meet the owner - he’s so kind and helpful. If you want to spend your dollars supporting a local business while getting delicious food (the frozen Al pastor is amazing) then this is the place for you. Even if I have a fully stocked pantry, I will stop by every single time

great selection and a lotnof great in house made foods that make preparing solid traditional meals easy. the people running the place always have a warm genuine greeting. I look forward to visiting them to get foods for our family taco Tuesday night.

what a great find tucked away in my neighbourhood! The variety of foods and goodies here is extensive, if you're familiar with mexican or latin foods, you'll likely find everything you need here. The staff is so sweet as well, this will definitely be a regular stop for me on my grocery days

It was a couple of days before Christmas and I went to Don Chendo’s to buy the ingredients for making tamales. To my surprise they already had frozen tamales that turned out to be delicious to say the least. They also helped me with a recipe for pozole and the final surprise was that they also had frozen chiles rellenos which were amazing. It is a well stocked store with most of what you need for Mexican food, candies and salsas. Highly recommend.

Love this store. So happy to have this small business in the neighborhood. Tons of imported Mexican products that you can't find in the big box stores. Highly recommended
