Wilson’s Your Independent Grocer Ottawa

Wilson's Independent is a supermarket located at the corner Alta Vista drive and Bank St. I like shopping there because they have weekly specials and the meat selection is fresh and reasonably priced. The store shelves are well organised and the store is well lit and clean. Staff are friendly and will try to help as best as they can. Also the parking lot is a perfect size for shoppers of the store Despite that there are other stores in this mall, it feels like their parking spaces are just dedicated for their customers. This makes it so much easier to park your car closer to the store and even find your car after shopping. During the spring time they have a nice affordable nursery outside that sells beautiful plants, flowers and small shrubs that are great to dress up your garden.

Nice staff, not big store but have everything that fulfilled all needs. Garden center is cheaper then other garden centers.

I really like this grocery store because it’s decently sized but not too big to the point where it’s overwhelming. It has everything you could want but it’s also easy to go in and find something specific quickly. It is a little dated inside but it’s not really a big deal because everything seems clean. I haven’t had too many interactions with workers but the ones I had they were polite and helpful

Family flu shots today. Pharmacist is AMAZING! My youngest was really stressed about the shot but she was super patient and kind. Took her time until youngest felt ready. The shot was done before we even realized it. I will never go anywhere else for shots again. Also, not busy at all and we got groceries done while we waited our 15 minutes after. Fantastic!

Got the last jab Friday evening. Staff were polite, patient, and kindly. Pretty sure the pharmacist is doing this on top of her other duties. Had a rough day yesterday, but just tired today. Thinking how lucky we are to have hard working health care people to care for us! Thanks for all that you do.

Went grocery shopping here a couple days back. I was very fortunate to have this young man named Noah as my cashier! He made sure to treat me with the upmost respect as well as the customers before and after me. In my opinion I believe that this store is very fortunate to have such a dedicated and motivated worker as Noah. I am going to start coming back a lot more often:)

Selection and prices are excellent. Busy but not overcrowded. Staff are helpful. Someone offered to go in back and get milk from just delivered shipment they hadn't put out yet for me, so was most fresh. Would definitely recommend.

This is hands down my favourite grocery store. They ALWAYS have those small shopping carts. There are always baskets available by the door. They always have cake. I love this place. They have all the "perfectly imperfect" vegetables and frozen fruits, and I love knowing that I'm buying aesthetically inferior fruits and veggies and help reduce food waste.

They also have a ton of things on for 50% off and many meats that are "enjoy tonight". We freeze most of our meat that we don't cook right away and some of the bread, so it's honestly super nice to save THAT much money on staples that we freeze anyway. It's the shopping experience of a fancy Loblaw's but none of the added cost and with the added benefit of a small grocery store feel. You also get to sing Sweet Caroline right before closing on a Wednesday and accidentally duet with a guy stocking the shelves.

Overall a good store but some young staff rude and crooked Good manager though and Mr Wilson is good and well liked when I ask the employees.

same comments as others about convenience, reliability and helpful staff but special shout-out to honest customer who yesterday evening noticed cellphone accidentally left in black carry box and brought to customer service, which promptly called worried owner. Very grateful to all involved!

My other favorite grocery store. Clean, well stocked and friendly staff.

Sady helped me out with my online order. She got everything I wanted perfectly. She chatted with me and explained the whole process and was super helpful and friendly. People like Sady make me feel comfortable with online shopping and make me want to use this service more

I came in earlier this week and I went to check out. I was pleased to meet a young boy named Noah. He was very polite and was very helpful. I was glad to have met Noah, very intuitive. I hope to see him again next time I come.

Great place to shop. Fruits and vegetables are always fresh and they last. Staff is always helpful and I have seen on more than one occasion a staff member helping a senior out to the car and load the groceries for them. Whaaaaaat real customer service in 2018.

Great collection and organized in a way that makes it easy to find items. Staff is friendly. It's the first supermarket we went to in Canada and it's set a good benchmark for the rest.

This is not my usual grocery store, so finding products took a bit longer than usual, but staff members were helpful and exceptionally cheerful. Their positive attitudes made my day a happy one.

Small grocery store, but it carries what is necessary with some nice extras. They keep it clean, sanitise the carts and have hand sanitisation stations at the entrance, produce is generally fresh, no issues with customer service. It's my go to grocery store for most items.
