Food Basics

This is a very nice grocery store. Its clean, the produce is fresh and kept well, and the staff are friendly. Every week, there are some good deals, so if you keep your eye out for them, you'll save some money. During the pandemic, they took many precautions, wipes all carts when entering the store, and there is hand sanitizer at the entrance. Overall, great store!

Very pleasant experience. Helpful staff, fresh produce, fast checkout, lots of parking. Can't complain. Plus they have Kawartha Dairy ice cream!

Update: this continues to be a good store with lower pricing than others (but their prices have gone up significantly just like any grocery store). Limited brand selection and produce can be hit or miss based on the day, but they have a convenient location and you'll likely find what you're looking for.

Of quite a few shops and malls visited, this Food Basics retail shop strikingly differs in select matters such as first time seen stocked vegetables are finely sprayed at intermittent gaps for its freshness, limited pile up of stocks thereby same are replenished with fresh stock, floors are spic and span and racks are far apart and low giving better visibility and approach.

Deals and promotions add to all above on daily basis makes purchase of mainly vegetables and grocery items an attractive buy. The counters are continuously added as queues lengthen for customers comfort. Ample parking available.

Nice grocery store with great deals. Ample parking spots in the plaza. Food Basics always has some of the great deals. Employees are very kind and helpful. Very well organized store and well stocked up.

Cheap, quality groceries. Produce is stunning.

Bought some clementine which are from Chile. Very sweet. I think I paid 3.88 for the bag. Also bought royal gala apples which are very tasty and only 0.88 cents a pound. Bought peach ice cream. Tried it last year. Was very good. Store brand Irresistibles. Check out their online flyer. They have some great deals right now.

One of the only good grocery stores in my area. The store is usually pretty quiet and not too busy. I feel like the produce is much fresher here compared to other stores in the area.
One issue is the lack of the little baskets on wheels. I always forget change so them having more than 2 of those would be helpful.

Good place for international cultural foods good selection .. sometimes hard to find some things but good cashiers. A very sweet girl with glasses and dark hair I didn’t ask for a name for the young lady but I’m guessing this a manager of some sort since she had a pair of keys around her neck... this was very kind to me and went out her way to get me an item I wanted on the number two cash line. Love to see her as well as other nice cashiers all the time as I am a regular and they always are the same cashiers all the time helping. I go in the evening time and always the nice cashiers during evening there and ready to help .. Thank you to her and all you for working

Really good value for money. The weekly sale is worth the drive. The store brand is good for most items. There are heavily discounted items for certain clearance products and produce. Have been shopping for years and never had anything to return. Love it!

Nice shopping experience and amazing deals and prizes But I must say it dosen't matter where you shop know prices have gone up everywhere but prices will remain low particularly in Food Basics and No Frills.😎

If anything I think the customers are rude. I  waited in line once behind a woman trying to bring back poultry with no reciept and abusing the poor cashier who had to deal with her.
I thought the cashier handled herself in a very professional and assertive manner and I'm thankful as a customer that she DIDN'T take back the poultry!
I've never had a bad experience at this location and I've been a customer for over 15 years. The prices are fair, the quality is always great,  I usually find everything I need and the staff are always friendly and willing to help.

I love to go this food basic, because always have fresh fruits and vegetables. Plus the employees are very friendly and helpful. They have such an amazing costumer service than other food basics.

I shop in this store 3 to 4 days a week as I shop for my mother also and I always find what I need and freshness in the produce area. The staff are so helpfull and very friendly with a smile to help you at anytime. Good job Food Basic

Nice place to shop workers are very helpful easy to find stuff and it is very clean and most of the staff have been there for awhile now so we as shoppers are comfortable 😀 keep it up.

Great attention to detail. I was impressed and thankful to one cashier ( a young guy) who was so nice and quickly disinfected the conveyor belt for me to place my already cleaned items (during covid)

Amazing deals always , my son loves this place , if u can't get parking u can park adjacent shoppers parking lot also u can share both stores parking n carts , best feature is lowest price gas station in sane parking lot without exit to out of premises ,
