One of my favorite shops in Vancouver, this place stands out among the many similar ones now available, although it was rare to find ten years ago.

Despite its small size, it offers a wide variety of natural-oriented items. Not only is it eco-friendly, but it's also neat and pretty. If you appreciate a simple life and enjoy products that reflect your values, this shop is a must-visit.

Cute shop! Lots of options for refillable containers, soaps, and shampoos as well as little kitchen tools. The glass bottles and pumps are more affordable than Amazon and seem to be very high quality. I highly recommend picking up a bambuu scraper if you like cooking with cast iron or carbon steel. I'll be back!

There’s sooo much here. They also have Dr Bronner’s on tap for refill. So well-organized too.

OH MY GOSH!! All i can say about this place. It is AMAZING! they have everything from food to tea to containers to beauty and cleaning products. All fair cheap prices and with bulk options. The best stocked with the largest variety dispensary shop ive ever been to. Definitely a must see and buy! Its also bring your own containers to fill but if you forgot one they offer cheap containers to use and if you return them clean theyll refund you the container price! Amazingly helpful staff and adorable store.

the coolest shopping experience in vancouver. found this place on air canadas city guide on the flight to vancouver and the trip to the store was rlly worth it. the lady at the store was kind in explaining to me how the store runs, what container i can use, how to weigh my stuff and how to use the grinder. it’s truly refreshing to see genuine people working with local suppliers in making sustainable food/ circular economy work. i had such an enriching experience bringing home coffee.

This store blows my mind. It is literally a home candy store for grown-ups. They have refillables and lovely jars, decent prices, wonderful quality of products. The system for weighing and tagging your home receptacles is flawless and feels great. The owner is very forthcoming, as are her staff. 🙏🏽 I’m so glad this place exists still! Not only do they have many of the products in jars all ready to go, the culture encourages you to take ownership over your own home kitchen apothecary etc. Just love it here

This is my go to for whenever I need to refill my eco-friendly items. I have bought various things and have been here many times. The staff are always so friendly and the store has a good vibe. They have a wide range of products such as kitchen staples, ingredients, tools, garden stuff, dental, laundry, cleaning and self care. You just bring your own containers and weigh them then refill! They also have containers and a variety of jars for you to buy.

I love eco-friendly stores!

Fantastic place for reusable kitchen supplies. I’ve been here many times and always buy more than I came for. The staff is very helpful, they helped me find a straw for my broke spray bottle even when they don’t normally sell them!

The owner is lovely and it’s great to see the business is still around despite all the changes happening in Vancouver and on Main Street.

My partner and I have appreciated having a low waste option for refilling our kitchen ingredients and cleaning items. It’s a nice activity to do together and always feels like we’re making a healthy choice when we can choose the soap dispensary over the grocery store.

It would be great if we had more places like this in Vancouver. The kind that promotes eco-friendly options for the most common day-to-day activities (cooking, baking, cleaning). The Soap Dispensary is a good example of this business model, offering bulk items to take care of these basic needs. Even if they do sell a few types of containers and utensils necessary to use their products, they encourage you to bring your own containers. Staff there will diligently explain to you how their self-service system works, always there to help you out. Their prices tend to be a bit higher on some of the items they sell, but this is to be understood as a result of the different economy of scale. In any case, this is a business we should support.

Had a great first time experience here today. The two staff members I interacted with were very friendly and helped me learn how the refill process works and find exactly the products I was looking for. I also ended up saving about 50% of what I would've paid on my laundry supplies at a traditional store.

Very useful kitchen/cleaning supplies! Bring your own containers or they have extra tubs/jars or bags on-site too. Especially good if you're traveling and don't want to buy more than you need.

Wonderful place for likeminded people who are interested in shopping quality items vs cheaply made overpriced plastic items like you can get at Shoppers drugstore.

This is such a cool shop, where you can refill so many things!
Bulk shopping as well.
You can get all kinds of food like mayo, beans, seeds, oils etc etc.
Need to refill your natural cleaning products or personal hygiene products?! The Soap Dispensary got you covered. Prices are pretty good as well, especially on bulk items. I love shopping here, the staff is always welcoming, helpful/knowledgeable & super kind.

Big thank you to the owners of this store, the soap dispensary means so much to people like myself. I try to live as minimal waste lifestyle as possible & with the help of this shop I feel like I’m contributing to keeping that extra garbage out of landfills I would have accumulated otherwise if I was shopping at regular stores and constantly buying goods in plastic containers.

When I mentioned it was my first time there, a staff member walked me through the process and showed me around. I felt very welcomed. Such an incredible refillery, a huge variety of oils, soaps, etc, plus sustainable home cleaning goods. This is going to be a regular stop for me.

A very pleasant shopping experience. It's refreshing to see a business that encourages sustainability through services like bottle drops and bulk dispensing, rather than just the veneer of such.

Lynn has worked hard to make her store easy for her patrons to use. I love how she has switched most items to be self-serve. In a household of one, sometimes quantities in stores are too much for me. I'm glad I can get the amount I need, especially of food items I purchase for a special meal that i don't use all the time.
Great work Lynn on sticking through the growing pains,.

As Vancouver’s first dedicated refill shop specializing in premium soaps, this place is a gem. The exceptional service provided by Linh Truong and the profound knowledge of scents and products made our first visit a delight. Linh is super friendly and took the time to walk us through the entire process, making it easy and enjoyable.

This shop is perfect for DIY enthusiasts who enjoy creating personalized products with their unique scents. It's also ideal for those who are passionate about environmental stewardship and practicing a zero-waste lifestyle. Refilling household items here is a simple and rewarding habit to adopt.

Highly recommend!

Really thrilled to find a place that sells shea butter in bulk/refillable portions! They also introduced me to some new sustainable clothing options, which I'm very happy to have picked up. Absolutely made me a return customer.

Great first time here. Filled up all kinds of soap for the household. Got chips and hummus as well from the food side. Yummy hummus! The kids were antsy as the wait was long. We came when the store was packed. The staff were really pleasant and told us about the toys under the bench which entertained them for a short while.
