Sungiven Foods (City Square Store)

Great selection of various Asian cuisines, good fresh produce, cheapest oat milk in town and free 2 hr parking.

Had a really nice experience with a cashier who packed my bags, even giving me one free to make sure it didn’t break on my way home. She also gave me a bag of Chinese chips to try as a promo because she thought I would like them!

sun Give Foods is a staple of this community. It provides a good amount of international offerings, fresh foods, premium produce and some mainstream commercial, packaged food. The store is clean and the staff always friendly. Prices are decent and the location is prime, for those that want to stay away from other, overcrowded grocery spaces.

It has been awhile since I've gone to city Square but I went to look for the Safeway and found Sungiven.

It's a very nice and clean Asian market with a decent selection of western items (actually went to purchase hot dogs/wieners). It's not as large as say t&t however it makes it up with a very nice and friendly look and setup.

They have a cooked section (though seemed slightly limited today probably relates to covid-19).

Wide aisles for nice safe social distancing walking. All employees wearing masks and the standard shield.

There are some items if you look where they seem to be priced quite competitively or even less expensive than other stores (lemon tea drink from Japan).

Parking is also reimbursed after purchase which is nice. There is the P1 escalator right by the store, but if you parked on the other side, the one elevator that goes up to Kirin is a bit of a pain in the butt.

I was looking forward to its opening as Sungiven has been super popular in China with good market reputation. It has lived up to my expectation. Pleasant layout, hospitable staff, nice variety, and most importantly, high quality goods with competitive prices. I noticed that prices for some products are almost only half of that are sold in another famous Asian grocery chain stores. Highly recommended!

Staffs are friendly and very welcoming. Their lemon lava custard bun bread is a must try 😊 The store is also is very clean.

This place is so nice, clean and organized. Staff really friendly and if you have any questions they are pleased to help you I was so happy in my visit since I found what I was looking for. I love red dragon fruit

Irene, the store manager, is very hardworking and friendly. She is very helpful to me whenever I come into the store.

First time shopping here and was very impressed. Reasonably priced, clean and bright aisles make for an enjoyable place to browse and to shop for Asian goods. The produce area had a lot of fresh imported fruits such as baby mangoes, honey pineapples and yellow dragonfruits. Visited the Sungiven store in the City Square. They provide 2 hours of free parking downstairs with validation.

So many Asian goodies and a wide range of vegetables especially mushrooms and leafy greens. One our fav stores in town!

Nice asian supermarket with a lot of orangic and natural items, bread and sushi are surprisingly good....

Super affordable meat and produce options that are high quality. They can achieve low pricing because most of their produce come from Sungiven Farms. Making it super handy when things get outrageously expensive everywhere else.
They have a mighty selection of ramens, sauces, hot pot meats and sides, exotic mushrooms and more! They also have all the mochi you could want!

They have better quality hot food than other Asian supermarket, love their dim sum and sushi

I love this grocery store. They have really fresh produce and good quality meats. Great selection of Asian food and ingredients as well. It's also very clean. I love their pork floss cakes and their mocha roll cake.

Love this place. It’s always very clean, and the produce is really pristine (like they actually take the time to remove blemished or overripe items). The store reminds me of a Trader Joe’s, in that they sell some house branded items and the way the store is laid out. It’s not a huge store, but everything there is top quality. All the staff that I’ve encountered here are really helpful and take the time to answer questions too.

Bonus: they will validate your parking here as well if you drive over.

I was really impressed by how kind and accommodating the 2 staff members were! (A lady and a brand new guy). They treated me very well. Esp considering that it was almost closing time, when people are typically tired and grumpy. :p

The store was nicely laid out and clean. They have great grocery products and I got to try some cooked food to go. I don't like fruits in my pastry, but the pineapple bun was very good. I kept it in the freezer, then popped it in the oven toaster the next morning. It's as good as freshly baked.

I'll be back often. :)

Really nice grocery store. I appreciate their spacious layout - it feels very comfortable to navigate - as well as their wide selection, including good cheese and many locally made products. My only real complaint is their selection is erratic and difficult to plan around. For instance, I have fallen in love with their jars of peaches and excellent dumpling wrappers (not to mention big boxes of seaweed snacks!), but these are often out of stock when we need them.

This place is my hidden gem. It's a spacious, bright, well stocked store with friendly staff. A pared down version of T&T, but has all the imported essentials you need to make your meals at reasonable prices. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fuss free Asian grocery experience.

This our second time here. Great location and very clean grocery store. They have somewhat competitive prices and staff seems to be very nice. We really like the store layout with a fair amount of space between the isles. Yun the check out counter staff member was very polite and customer service oriented person. I really like their eggs and chicken. They have a quite a good collection of vegetables. Thanks for the excellent service and keep up the good work.

Came in here to spend five bucks for a parking stamp and ended up spending much more. Great store. The stuff that is gluten free has it written on the shelf tag, saving time. The sushi and pork buns are great and the staff was extremely friendly and polite. I am glad they will be opening a store in Langley.
