H-Mart Downtown

I am so lucky to have this place near my work!
I almost have every my work days lunch in this food court. They might have new chef emonim or ownership. Since a few months ago, menu, food quality became unbelievably good also price range is amazing. (All those menu in pictures are around $15) Fresh ingredients, perfectly seasoned, taste like my mom’s food from Korea.
Japanese lady at counter is also very delightful.

Good prices, good food, and most importantly they gave good portions. They didn't skimp out on the ingredients and gave plenty of fish cakes and rice cakes. Would definitely visit again in the future. This is a good place to get a taste of korean food without breaking your bank account as many korean restaurants in Metro Vancouver are pretty expensive these days. There was a kiosk to order your food and I think it only takes card.

This was on the 2nd floor of Hmart and I believe there's other food stalls? Unfortunately I didn't visit the food stall right beside where I ordered (but it looked like they had deep fried/bbq menu items?). However the one I ordered from was yummy.

Nice selection of rice and other Asian products. What I love about it is that you can find Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese etc. products in one convenient location, which is great if you love and cook dishes originating from different parts of Asia. Another unique detail - their ready-to-eat roast sweet potatoes, a real “must try”! Large selection of - what I’d call - “luxe” meats completes the picture for me. One can raise an eyebrow at the prices, but those are some exceptional meats, okay. And there is something for everyone. I buy the amazing thinly-sliced beef for about $10 and with it I cook 2-3 meals for two, so… Happy to have this store just around the corner.

They even sell Mexican food 😀. It's mostly Asian food and kind of expensive, but their schedule for opening and close it's late and I can still buy groceries for that

This place if very convenient to get your favourite Korean food. Ideally Situated in the heart of the downtown of Vancouver, close to Chinatown, this 2 storey stores contains all the fresh or prepared typically found in Korea in one place. The staff is nice and helpful!

This H Mart has a little more range than the other branches IMO.
There's a beauty shop on the first floor, and the second floor is the market, as well as a small food court (tucked around behind the cashiers) with a couple of options.
The food court dishes are restaurant-like but at better prices. I like to come here for a quick bite, or grab something from the market (e.g. onigiri, kimbap, sushi, rice bowls) if I'm in a hurry.
They also sell single-packaged ice creams so you can try some Korean ice cream without committing to a whole box.

What a wonderful discovery!

Right here on busy Robson street there's this Korean/Asian grocery/mini department store/food court where I can satisfy my cravings for good Korean food without breaking the bank. And buy some needed groceries as well.

Give some variety than just going to IGA!

Small but convenient, close to the hotel. Can get fresh roasted yams here.

There was a lady serving the self-checkout (지연 선생님!) whose personality and service was so bright on such a grey day. I absolutely had to write a review to commend her. Thank you! :)

This is by far the cleanest HMart I’ve ever walked into. The meat quality and selection is exceptional. Live crab and lobster looked amazing. All of the greatest hits and home essentials. (The best part about this place? The hidden food court at the back.)#Katsufordays

The newly expanded make up and stationary section on the first floor is beautiful with a wide variety of selections. It’s even worth to go just to window shop and marvel at their Kpop merchandise. There’s also a food court on the second floor with good Korean food.

Quick eats, delivered. Chicken was crisp and tasty, 짜장면 chewy with mild seasoning, 설렁탕 warm and comforting, and 된장찌개 flavorful and hearty. Delivery was prompt and friendly.

Love this place! Bathroom is very nice, has a random kitten picture in there?? (Womans.) Customer Service was very nice.

They have the best tasting buns at their bakery!! Only thing is they are a tad pricy, if they could lower the price a little, it would make it more worth it.

ig the employees way before were rude.. but i go there quite a bit (artbox/downstairs sometimes upstairs if i crave a snack but ion go a lot) but for artbox: the employees r rlly nice n hv helped me a few times n no they don’t follow ppl around. myb employees in the past did but i go there enough to say they absolutely do not follow u around. they’re very kind n helpful

You can find different noodle soup ! These ones, you don’t need hot water cause they come with a water heater 🤭（＾_＾）

Favorite grocery store near home, huge selection of various exotic fruits

Densely packed with a wide variety of Korean and other Asian import foods, as well as locally made fresh and frozen specialties. A LOT of selection - we're talking ten kinds of kimchi, a dozen kinds of frozen dumplings, and a whole wall of natto. I always pick up their house kimbap and spicy fish balls. Produce selection is so-so but they do get some rare seasonal imports. Seafood selection is great but mostly frozen. They also have a bakery downstairs and a small cafeteria upstairs. It's pretty nuts they can fit all this into such a small space.

H-Mart is awesome. This is a great H-Mart location that has a big variety of different Korean groceries. It's located right in downtown Vancouver surrounded by delicious restaurants. The staff that work here are super friendly, and always have a smile on whenever I have been in the store at least. If you are craving Korean snacks, definitely stop by here.
