La localidad de Iloca luego del terremoto del 27F del 2010 , perdió tres de sus escuelas. Gracias a la viralización del niño apodado el “El Zafrada”, la localidad se hizo muy conocida y muchos quisieron ayudar, tanto así que estas tres escuelas se transformaron en éste colegio que fue inaugurado el año 2013 y que fue financiado en su construcción por Lucy Avilés y Benjamín Walton, los mismos que trajeron el avión Supertanker para los incendios forestales ocurridos en febrero del 2017.
