Ahu Ko Te Riku

[No Guide Required] This site features an Ahu with several unrestored but erected Moai. It’s a great place to watch the sunset, I’d advise coming here every night to try and see the best one possible.

Great single Moai in close vicinity of two other platforms with Moais in them. Worth a visit.

Wonderful spot to view the sunset. Ambling from to here from nearby cemetery parking lot toward The Moai Sunset Restaurant. The area of these Moai is in a open area on hill overlooking the sea. At the time, tourists were able to visit these locations without a guide, which is not allowed at some of the larger parks where there are Moai (statues) like Rano Raraku and Tongariki.

The best place to enjoy the sunset and don't leave, there is also the starry night.

Wonderful site with beautiful sunsets. A large green lawn stretches in front of the moai where tourists and locals hangout before the sunset.

Excelente lugar para ver o pôr do sol.

目があるモアイ像が見られます。沈む夕陽とモアイのセットが見られるスポットです。

街から歩いてすぐの所にある、夕陽とモアイがセットな観られるスポット。芝生の公園に寝そべりながらゆっくりとサンセットを眺めることができます。近くには無料の駐車場あり。犬が多いですが危なくはなく人懐っこいです。夜は星空とモアイをセットで撮ることもできます。

Ahu Ko Te Riku, el único moai que tiene ojos de color blanco. Los arqueólogos suponen que todos los moais tenían ojos hechos de coral y escoria roja, aunque ésta solo es una teoría basada en la pieza encontrada en la playa de Anakena en 1978, con forma de ojo y de un tamaño similar al hueco que tienen las figuras de piedra en la cara. Por ello, al restaurar este moai, le colocaron una réplica del ojo encontrado en Anakena para que su apariencia fuera similar a la que debían de tener en el momento de máximo esplendor de la cultura rapa nui🏝

Lugar mágico para ver el atardecer junto a los moai, lo ideal es sentarse en el pasto y contemplar el cielo, el mar, el sol y aveces las nubes. Es el lugar perfecto para visitar cada tarde en Rapa Nui
