Get Up and Go Colombia Free Walking Tour

Really interesting walking tour with Patricia. Over about 2 hours she showed us many interesting places that we probably would not have visited on our own, like the UNESCO listed Holy Week Museum, Colonial and Baroque buildings of historical families, the beautiful interior of the University of Cauca, and many other places. Patricia had a lot of great stories and had a deep knowledge of the history of Popayan. We highly recommend doing a walking tour with Get Up and Go Colombia. Proceeds also go to important peace and education projects.

Sebastian was brilliant! This tour is delightful and informative. We entered buildings we would have never visited on our own. We saw beautiful art, old architecture, and even learned about fine local foods. Great!

The tour was fantastic! We walked around Popayán for over two hours and even got to go inside some houses and the university buildings to get even more history and inside knowledge!
Sebastian was a great guide who answered all our questions, gave us loads of recommendations and knew so much about the city and it's people and history!
Definitely recommend doing this tour to get to know Popayán better! It's a lovely city where you feel welcome and safe while strolling around and it's history is truly interesting as we got to know today thanks to this tour!!

We had a great experience with Lorena and Camilo they are great tour guides. They are very knowledgeable about Popayan’s culture, traditions and history. Although this is a free event, please tip them well as this is their only source of income. Thank you Lorena and Camilo for the nice experience.

Miguel gave us a really interesting tour around the beautiful ciudad Blanca! He told nice, short stories and we saw a lot of places. Would really recommend going with them to get to know the city.
One thing though. We wanted to do the tour on Tuesday and we registered through their website the day before. When we waited in front of the church the next day, nobody showed up. Afterwards, during the night, we got an email which explained why the tour hadn’t taken place. It would have been nice to get this beforehand, so we weren’t waiting for nobody.. For us it was a big bummer to not be able to do the tour that day.

Lorena and Camilo are excellent tour guides with much knowledge about Popayan’s culture, traditions, and history. They are amiable and down-to-earth people. Even though this is a free walking tour, Please tip them well, as this is their only source of income. Great job, Lorena and Camilo

I did the visit at 10 am. Free walking tour have 2 groups (if many people) 1 English 1 spanish. I took English smaller group (-+10 persons)

The guide (all volunteers) colombian student in English and pedagogie and psychologue speak very well English and show us History places with stop gastronomie and explain very well. Normaly it's 2 hours but because we asked a Lot of questions it was almost 2h30.

Of course don't forget tips specially it's too help to have their own Space because for the moment Share with tourism office.

Amazing free walking tour with our guide Sebastian who gave us lots of insights about the history, customs, architecture and cultural aspects of the city. I loved his recommendations about the local food!

Brilliant tour! Particularly the graffiti tour, really was one of the most special of our trip. The woman a beckon of true hope gave the tour as she lived through all that happened. So special, counldnt recommend it enough!

Camillo and Diana gave us a great tour through Popayan and explained the history of the city and region as well as recent topics in politics and society.

Great walking tour!! Definitely recommend. Very insightful and interesting and showed us places we would never have known about otherwise.

We really enjoyed our tour and got to know lots of facts about the city that we wouldn't have found out otherwise. You also get to go into some buildings you could never visit by yourself. So we 100 percent recommend joining this tour!! An extra bonus is that the tip money is going to a great organisation with a nice purpose.

We did the free walking tour with Camillo on sunday and we really enjoyed it! He was a great guide and explained us a lot about the city and gave us plenty of advices for restaurants, food and activities in popayan. We really recommend it!

Had a great tour today, even though I was the only one that showed up it still went on. Great visits to some nice spots around the city also the guide was very enthousiastic about telling everything about the interesting history of the city. Would recommend!
