Hacienda Venecia Manizales Hostel

This was my second visit to Hacienda Venecia hostel and it remains a great hostel! The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable, there is ample social space to cook/workout/chat, and the vibes are great. More than anything, this is an unbelievably stunning location for the price. I appreciate being able to see the coffee region on a budget, and the free 24/7 coffee is awesome.

I will say throng things: I recommend bringing a bit of your own food, especially if you have dietary restrictions, as the ‘store’ is not actually that well stocked and there is no easily accessible supermarket. The hostel has basics, but we benefited from bringing our own tortillas, pb, bread, etc. Secondly, the reception and check out process is a bit chaotic so I recommend keeping track of what you purchase and to double check your bill. We had a few mistakes on ours that were removed with no problem, but one must check. Thirdly, it is difficult to get to so leave ample time to arrive and depart if you are leaving with public transport or just arrange for private transport.

All in all, I loved my time at Hacienda and would love to return!

Amazing place in the countryside with great birdwatching and a fun rum tour. The highlight however was a bipolar piglet called Pacca who aggressively chased all the guests around the hostel before acting cute and asking for belly rubs. Provided 10/10 entertainment. Would highly recommend other hostels to get their own psychopathic pig

What a wonderful experience. it really is an experience that you shouldn't miss out on. We got to know so many great employees from the Hacienda, including the owner.

However, I'd love to see that they reinvest into the old facilities to keep up with the rise of tourism.

We had a fabulous stay at the Hacienda Vanecia Hostel. The hostel hosts, Gilbert and Jessica, made us feel very welcome and did everything to make sure we were enjoying our stay. We loved our little bungalow, the hammocks for lounging, the outdoor kitchen, and the relaxing atmosphere of being surrounded by nature. The birds that flew around the property were especially fascinating. We added on breakfast each morning and Jessica was an excellent cook. The tiny tienda was reasonably priced and provided essentials to cook for yourself (we had some beers as well as made pizza, pasta, and sausages) We also took the coffee farm tour with Johann and he was a super friendly, knowledgeable guide. The property is massive and beautiful with several options for hiking or lounging. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a relaxing few days in the coffee triangle!

A friendly hostel in the middle of nature, what more could we ask? Lots of activities to learn about coffee, chocolate, the biodiversity or just admiring great views!

Really beautiful hotel

Très belle expérience dans ce lieu hors du commun, comme perdu au milieu de la jungle.
Malgré l’isolement nous retrouvons tout le nécessaire sur place : petite supérette, 2 cuisines dont 1 extérieure équipée d’un four à pizzas😋, grandes chambres, eau chaude, un excellent petit déjeuner (en supplément), un service au top assuré par Blanquita qui nous a bichonné pendant tout notre séjour.

Nous devions rester qu’1 seule nuit mais finalement mais n’avons pas pu résister à une nuit supplémentaire dans cet endroit magique 🌿

Il y a aussi plusieurs chemins de randonnée autour de l’hostal. Nous avons été voir la casa principale et avons été bien accueillis par le propriétaire qui nous a offert un café de l’hacienda.

Très bon séjour à l’Hostal de l’Hacienda.
Nous avons fait le tour de cafe, très intéressant.
Nous avons logé dans le bungalow : très jolie chambre, au calme dans la nature. Le seul bruit aux alentours est le chant des oiseaux.
Possibilités de s’acheter à manger et de cuisiner + fabrication de pizzas maisons le soir : très bonne expérience. Nous avons même fait un feu pour faire griller les Shamallow.
Petit dej en supplément mais très bon et copieux.
Nous recommandons pour ceux qui veulent se ressourcer au calme dans la nature tout en ayant la possibilité de visiter une hacienda.

Un lugar increíble para los amantes de la naturaleza. El servicio es espectacular con la señora Blanca que cuida a los clientes como si fueran reyes.

Muy tranquilo, hecho para compartir y cocinar pizza 🍕 afuera, recomiendo 100% este alojamiento

Lejos de la ciudad rodeado de montañas verdes y plantaciones de café fue el lugar más lindo que visite en Colombia!!
