This restaurant is hands down the ultimate spot to witness Monteverde's enchanting sunset! The combination of tasty beverages, cozy atmosphere, and unparalleled views made it an unforgettable experience.

Salmon with Shrimp in tequila sauce was amazing!!! Excellent view of the mountains, with cool breezes. Mixed-fruit smoothies too!!!

I love this place. Arrive early at the restaurant to get a great seat to view the sunset. The food was okay, but I will return for the sunset.

This was a lovely dining experience! I had, for the first time ever, a plantain “veggie burger”. Such a unique experience to a typical veggie burger. Everything was delicious, the service was great, and the view was beautiful.

The food and service is great! We ate here a couple of times and loved everything. I got steak one day and the chicken burger the next. Their frozen watermelon and lemonade were my favorite drinks.

Great atmosphere with a natural vibe, delicious food (the fish was garlicky and buttery to the max), and the best craft beer selection around! Matt, the resident beer expert, is very knowledgeable and a delight to chat with if you're a beer nerd. 🤓

A lovely restaurant with kind staff. We talked about the chimichanga and burrito for days after eating them. They were so good. I always love outdoor seating options and the choice between high top tables and rocking chairs was nice.

5 stars for the sunset view and service alone! The vegetable curry was quite good, especially with hot sauce. The vegetables tasted very fresh! Also enjoyed the strong coconut flavor of the flan.

While returning from a morning visit to the El Tigre Waterfalls, one of the staff members driving us back recommended Morpho’s Restuarant for a beautiful sunset dinner. HE WAS NOT WRONG! My mom and I had a reservation for 4:45pm, and when we arrived, the waiter had saved a table right next to the window facing the sunset. I had the chef’s special for the day (forgot the name sorry!) and my mom had the Beef Steak Casado. The food was amazing, and we got there just in time for happy hour! As we ate, we enjoyed the sun set along the mountains, and the view was like a wallpaper background that you think is photoshopped (see images below). We finished dinner around 5:30pm and stayed for a few more minutes to take photos! The staff were incredibly kind, and the experience was worth it! I highly recommend you try out Morpho’s Restaurant for an memorable sunset dinner.

Our last night in Santa Elena was celebrated with dinner at Morphos. This restaurant featured beautiful views of the skyline and a musician playing guitar and singing.
The food was delicious - 2 of us had the shrimp and rice and 2 had the Salmon/shrimp special (see pic). The specials bumped our total bill up (so ask about the specials price if you are on a budget), but they were perfectly prepared and delicious. Finished out with some delicious fruit smoothies and milkshakes.

We were staying in Santa Elena and didn't fancy walking all the way back into town, we had both seen the restaurant and decided to give it a try. On arrival we were welcomed by a cheeky waiter, who we got on famously with, he recommend some of the local ales after my husband said he enjoyed a pale ale.
I had 2 glasses of Pinot and my husband 2 of the local ales.
We had the special and a carbonara which were both delicious followed by a tiramisu and the peanut butter pie also excellent.
Great atmosphere, attentive service and delicious food.

Very clean, well-decorated restaurant. The theme and ambiance are in keeping with the name and the logo: morphos butterfly, which is a majestic blue, pleasant and relaxing to view.
The waitress was very helpful and courteous.
The menu is authentic Costa Rican at reasonable price. Delicious deserts, too!

The food here is amazing and the service is quick and professional. They have a variety of typical Costa Rican foods as well as hamburgers, pastas and chicken plates. Not only that they do carry seasonal fruit waters which were great. Try them out!

What an excellent experience. They are very knowledgable about food issues. And their vegan options were super yummy.

I felt very safe and the food was delicious. And the view is OUTSTANDING!!!

I got the chocolate milkshake and beef tenderloin. It was some of the best food I've had in a long time. My friend got the Morphos burger, and that was also perfect. For the level of dining and how nice the place is, the prices are great too. One of my favorite restaurants in Costa Rica!

Had the morpho’s burger, which included fries. The burger was just amazing, had a few as good in my life. Double patty, the meat very fresh and tasty, and a good combination of lettuce, sliced tomato, some tasty cheese, avocado, and gherkins. Didn’t need to add sauces, as it was just perfect like that.

The atmosphere is great, quite romantic, soft relaxing music, candle lights, huge windows and cool wooden/glass tables.

Also recommend the pina y leche smoothie, simple yet refreshing and tasty.

I’ll probably be back tomorrow, to enjoy the sunset (got here late).
