Opens early. Nice, laid back town owner and employees. Expect a lot of workers having breakfast before work. Service is fast and food fresh and tasty. This is as Costarican town atmosphere and taste as it gets.

Great food; $14 (7000 colones) for shrimp and rice, casados con carne, and 2 Pina naturales. Very reasonable and felt homemade

Simple, but good home made like food. Very clean place- just look at their counters and the pots. Very orderly. Had local food-mondongo and my wife had pork chop. Fresh food, made in front of you, friendly service. Had fresh tamarindo and linaza drink- refreshing.

The first time I enter the place it was packed, like seriously packed! There was people from all over town starting their mornings there ... The place, it doesn't look like much so I was intrigued, only costarrican native food and when I say native I mean like grandma native!

Gallo Pinto, coffee with milk, cheese, sour cream, "arepas" (Sweet Pancakes) , hand made tortillas and I can go on and on ... If you visit Guayabo de Bagaces for whatever reason, this place is a MUST! Not only because the food but the experience you will get from the people of a town that not only has all four renewable energy sources for the country but with a hard-working spirit hard to match nowadays by most folks in Costa Rica.

Yo y mi esposa pasamos aquí después de a ir al parque viejo rincón. Mi esposa dijo que era el mejor comida que a comido en todo el tiempo que estuvimos en costa rica. Vicky es muy amable tambien :)
