Hotel del Sur

The staff is excellent. The facilities were great. Nothing can be perfect, but there were active improvements/renovations being done which is a great sign!

You can tell the ownership takes pride in this place and I recommend it to anyone looking to stay in San Isidro General.

We reserved a spot at the pool for my son's 6th birthday party and it was a great experience. Staff was very helpful in whatsapp and made it easy to communicate and get set up. The staff was very helpful during the event as well. The pool was clean and the party house and playground with trampoline were a hit with the kids and the kiddie pool was perfect for the younger kids.

I have a Family of friends that live in Costa Rica. From San Jose to Quepos to San Isidro. I was supposed to be there Wed coming but I had to delay my trip. BUT, I spent the last year researching CR not for a vacation but for my retirement. My friends have lived there almost 20 years.
The Plan
1. Arrive San jose airport
2. Check into Hotel Del Sur (4 hr drive , in the middle of country between 2 amazing beache; Pacic Coast and carribean coast.
I called the Hotel to talk and every time, they answered all my questions. My friends frequent this Hotel. I was more excited about staying here than any other hotel. I mean I researched everything about cr like I was writing my dissertation on this country. I can't go Wednesday, August 2023. ( medical reasons) but when I do go I will stay at Hotel Del Sur. They have a pool, spa, restaurant, rooms with kitchens and on Thursday nights, live entertainment. Family friendly!!

Excellent service. Nice hotel, though has a noisy casino in the same facility. Pool, gym, AC, free parking with security. We got a lot of help from the staff (Kenneth and Christian) who were so helpful figuring out where and how to charge our Electric car. A Hyundai Ioniq EV. We didn't eat there.

The Hotel del Sur is the quintessential Costa Rican experience. Aside from the beautiful property, and clean grounds/rooms, the hotel has excellent staff members that are always kind, courteous, helpful and welcoming. My stay was made greater by staff such as Berny, Joanna, Sharon, Tuvon, Shelsee, Dianny and the front receptionists. I would recommend to friends and family.
