Country Inn & Suites By Radisson, San Jose Aeropuerto, Costa Rica

We stayed a year ago as a family and are returning. Customer service is top of the line. Better than Some 5 star hotels I've visited.
It is very close to airport. Room had cool AC plenty of space for a family of five.. clean rooms. Safe parking. Very nice breakfast amd good hours. Pool was a bit chilly bit super clean. We look forward to our return. And yes you can Hear highway a bit but it isn't disturbing to keep you up at night.

Excellent location, decent restaurant on site. Close to many other restaurants and bars. Pool area is great, a profusion of birds and the grounds are beautiful. Rooms and beds comfortable. Staff very helpful, good breakfast included and airport transfers are free.

Great place to stay near San Jose and not far from the SJO Airport. They have clean and comfortable rooms, a pool, restaurant and bar, and free parking and WiFi. The hotel also offers a free shuttle between certain hours; however, for a small fee, we were able to arrange a private shuttle outside of these hours, which was so helpful and convenient in catching our flight on time. We enjoyed a fantastic dinner in the bar and restaurant, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was also a very affordable option for the area and a great value!

A real pleasure staying here. Beautiful resort-like pool area, great food, friendly staff and incredible prices (for what you get). I'd say my only gripe was the loud noises each room door makes when it slams shut (lack of carpets makes echos carry far).

Staff is very nice and receptionist speaks english very well.
Most important for those with late arrival... Restaurant is open till 9:30pm. Don't forget most restaurant in the area close around 8 or 9 pm. So this can be a life saver :-)
Free airport shuttle service once in an hour.
Rooms are okay as described. Maybe not the best soundproofed rooms. It was not busy when we were there but in the high season maybe a bit louder.
... and yes it does not have an elevator, but c'mon stair walking should not be a problem for normal adults, as a nice gentleman brings the suitcases to the rooms.

I stayed here for almost a week with my husband and 2 young kids. It was part of a package (flight and hotel). We enjoyed ourselves. The service was great. Gloria at reception was so nice and welcoming. The room was spacious and practical. The pool area was great. Breakfast was a feast every day!!! Yes, there are no elevators, this is not the US. Their lower level rooms are wheelchair handicap accessible. Yes there are a lot of stairs. It’s part of their decor. It would look out of place if it were a sterile 4 star US hotel. There is a shopping center a couple of mins walking. Everything is there. The area is super safe and somewhat expensive for Costa Rica standards. We loved it and highly recommend if you want to start your Costa Rica experience acclimating slowly to the differences that make the trip here worthwhile. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great service and location. I enjoyed my stay. Also, there are several restaurants and coffee shops nearby in addition to a grocery store.

Close to the highway and accompanying smell and noise but the room was nice and I thought the service was exceptional. Very friendly, helpful staff and they all spoke English, which was great since my Spanish is terrible (getting better). The breakfast was fantastic. Airport shuttle leaves once per hour and only took about 15 minutes to get us there in the morning (rush hour traffic goes the other way). For the price, a very good value.

A great place to stay if you are San Jose awaiting a flight. We flew into San Jose late evening, so we stopped here as we had three hour drive ahead. We stayed here the night before our return flight a month later. Great food in the restaurant and really comfortable and spacious rooms on both occasions, will certainly be booking again next visit.

Excellent service in this hotel. All staff are incredible, particularly Jasmin who cleans the room and Esperanza. We had a very small problem at the start but the reception staff upgraded our room straight away. Breakfast is included and really good quality too.

We are having a great time here. The hotel reservations wrote to us about how to get the shuttle. We came in late a family with babies and our baggage was delayed. We just missed the last shuttle,but they sent an extra on for us without us even asking. The front desk was nice and helpful as well as the bellhop. We had a 2 floor 2 bedroom room. Ac is great, fridge was cold, and it's super clean. There is a TV, desk, water. We hadn't had breakfast yet but I'm sure it will be good. The only thing is the upper balcony is a bit low with a gp and steeper stairs with wire railing so we have to keep an eye on kids well but it's worth it. Thanks for a great stay and good start to a vacation!

Great rooms at a great price with a great breakfast and all close to the airport.

Hands down my favorite hotel pre/post flights at SJO for several years now. Wonderful staff, spacious and comfortable rooms, great outdoor pool, and perfect breakfast. The location is also fantastic with an organic supermarket and a plethora of restaurants - Italian, sushi, Indian, wine bar, sports bar, etc - all less than a 3min walk from the hotel. Easy and free airport shuttle only a few minutes from airport, and again… the staff are just the best!!!

I cannot express my gratitude for the employees, especially Gloria the receptionist. My husband and I had a horrible experience after being robbed at a beach very far from here. Gloria immediately checked us into a room and even offered assistance to report the incident to the OIJ, because police in puerto viejo, where we were robbed, do nothing. The two nights we stayed by the airport here, every meal was excellent, the environment was so peaceful after what happened. The hotel was extremely clean, unlike many hotels in Costa Rica and in this area, there was no mold. The flowers, plants, pool, walkways provided the peace and beauty we needed to feel safe and relaxed. The area also is very safe, restaurants, shopping, park are in walking distance. I feel this area is the best area in Costa Rica. I lived in Costa Rica for four years. This is the safest and cleanest. Very central location for tours. If arriving or leaving from SJO, stay here.

Close proximity to the airport with a shuttle. DO NOT be late for the shuttle as my friend was told she had to wait for the next shuttle that ran 1 hour later. The restaurant on site is delicious, and the continental breakfast was also quite good (down for renovations this visit, unfortunately). The nearby restaurant Taj Mahal was the best Indian food I've ever had, worth the walk down to have some fresh Indian cuisine.

Great Hotel, well situated and price is very convenient. Great breakfast and the food in the restaurant is nice, tasty and very well presented. Location is great, close to everything . Great pool and gym . Everything amazing however the staff in general, they make the difference. From Mr. Wilson in Don Carlos and everyone else they are all so caring and helpful that make you feel at home . I will come back next time i travel for business.

Nice place to stay before flying out.
Beautiful pool area and a nice restaurant with reasonable prices for food and the drinks.
Breakfast was very good, and I was glad to see Tico typical breakfast.
Free airport shuttle was the main reason for booking there.
I'd go back.

This hotel was our "overnight stay before going back to the airport". It was great! Staff was extremely friendly. The grounds were beautiful and the on-site restaurant was great after a long day. The free breakfast was also great. We opted for the 2 bedroom suite and it was perfect for 4 people. It had 2 bedrooms and 2 restrooms. It was a 2 story Suite and very spacious. I would definitely recommend this place. Their shuttle to and from the airport was very helpful especially with traffic early morning.
