Super Alvarado

Travel is a risky part if life. You never quite let your guard down. That is what make's this stop that much better.
No one ever thinks much about stopping at a supermarket as it's an everyday task. However, when you are heading past an isolated (by conventional urban standards) locale surrounded by miles of pineapple and cattle ranches, you usually feel lost and out of place searching some aisles for those interesting unfamiliar treats. (Not unlike the "Nance fruit wine" we luckily found at this well stocked Market.
While in the back against the various super cold refrigerators with a large variety of beers and other cold 4+% drinks nearly frozen in 97°F weather. I had a chance conversation with whom I thought was a stockman. Turns out he was the owner. A very friendly animated chap, that offered us a couple of cold drinks that I never heard of but were delicious and marvelously quenching.
It was such a pleasure we stayed for a while and ejoyed the lively company as everyone was very friendly.
The location itself was well kept, clean and prices were convenient. This is defenitely a permanent stop on future trips to this beautiful region.
