Fantastic trip! We stayed in casa dolce vita. The monkeys and iguanas were our friends. The pool was nice and cool and the views did not disappoint. We loved the house and the staff was phenomenal!! Everyone was great to work with and they went out of their way to make our stay great! Highly recommend working with them.

Loving the Tree House! Chef Marcos spoiling us all week! Lobster tonight is fabulous!!

Beware- this is one of the companies that chose to keep deposits / payments of those who weren’t able to travel due to a pandemic. Should have done more research as it's clear others have had similar poor customer service experiences.

This is not a review of a stay, but the company itself. My fiancée and I reserved the Tree House for our wedding in May of 2020. We placed a large deposit to reserve the place. Unfortunately the pandemic hit and we clearly we were not able to travel. Rather than refund our deposit, the company chose to offer a few options. 1) travel during a pandemic and book another stay within that 18 months from May. 2) if the date we selected happens to be booked we would be refunded (basically had us playing a lottery) 2) They later offered an option of transferring our reservation to a friend so they to may attempt to travel during a pandemic (how kind of them).

A few problems with these options:
- we initially chose to pick another date. Chose February of 2021, which we were going to have to pay more for as it was a more expensive travel time for them (ridiculous in itself). Turns out the place was rented during the dates we chose, but they rented at a reduced rate that did not meet the qualifications to refund us. As if we have had any control over this. If we were to select another date, I’m sure this would happen again.
- If we were to choose to travel during a pandemic (which is very much still a thing) we’d likely be paying more out of pocket as the price of the home has now increased. You would think that they would have locked in the rate for us, but this is what kind of company we’re dealing with. Additionally, they have several properties but they insist that our “credit” “It is only good for the same house as you had reserved before”. We’re also running out of time to travel and still wouldn’t feel safe doing so.

All in all, just horrible business practices and horrible customer service. It has been like pulling teeth to get substantive responses. Would not recommend reserving any of their properties as you can clearly see the nature of business in which they operate.

We did not get to travel for our wedding and had to come up with alternative options. You would think that they would’ve shown more empathy, but of course that’s not a business requirement. To have us jump through hoops and make it essentially impossible to be refunded is a completely different thing however.
