City Express by Marriott San Jose Costa Rica

Decent Hotel, Good service and location. Probably should've given our room more than 1 towel however as 4 people were staying in it.

The best deal at $102 for guarded parking, air conditioning, plumbed hot water, good bed, clean, close to car rental return.

We only stayed here for a single night; however, we would return. Comfortable beds. Strong ac. Clean rooms. Good value. Excellent service. They arranged a free airport shuttle @6am!

Location is awesome and checkout time at 1pm as well. Rooms are very clean. It's kind of noisy but that didn't bother us too much. Breakfast has Callo Pinto, scrambled eggs, omlettes, fresh fruits, some Cereals and the usual stuff. All in all a good hotel with a fair price tag.

Stefanie at the counter treat us very professionally, was always willing to help and recommended the safest activities around. The cleaning personnel are always making a great job, and the ladies who serve the delicious breakfast, thank you so much!

The place is very clean and has all that you need. They have breakfast and this is my first night and when I entered my room I was well pleased to see how clean and all the necessities such as a microwave and they're very comfortable bed is very beautiful I will add to my comments as I stay here a few nights but I don't see how you could beat this as a place to stay

I loved this hotel. Easily reachable from the airport by Uber. The rooms are small but perfect for buisness travelling, they even have hair dryer, iron and ironing table. Also the tv. The only thing missing is a minibar, but there is an ice machine available on the ground floor. The breakfast is a basic but nice buffet, and it seems that if you want something special (like eggwhites ommelette) you can ask the staff and they will probably make it. Also, there is a cute little gym available, I loved it. It has a threadmill, orbitrack, some dumbells. I think there was also a bench and rowing machine but not sure any more. It took me some time to figure out you can turn airconditioning in the room and then it was perfect! Everything is clean and staff is nice and professional. I would recommend staying here.

This hotel is very nice. It is clean and the beds are cozy. The front desk staff is nice and always has a warm smile. The breakfast is simple but good. The rooms are spacious and have a modern simple design.

Everything was 5 star! The only 4 star is because the rooms need a mini fridge. The staff should have 6 stars!

A 5 star Port in a Storm;

When our evening flight couldn’t take off due to volcanic ash in the air and the airline abandoned the passengers as soon as we got off the plane, the airport tourist kiosk arranged for many of us to stay at City Express. Free shuttle bus, night shift staff who patiently and graciously took care of a lobby packed with tired and cranky guests; clean, if basic, rooms, free hot breakfast; and fairly inexpensive rates (appreciated by folks who had spent all their money on their holiday). And across the street a food court/shopping mall/grocery store complex.

The icing on the cake for us abandoned passengers was not only free Wi-Fi in our rooms but also free in-room international long distance to rebook our flights and contact relatives/friends. In short, City Express couldn’t have been more perfect for our needs.

We loved staying here. Staff were very nice. Spoke English which is helpful. Rooms were great, breakfast was good. I would definitely recommend.

First time visiting a City Express hotel and I loved it! So functional, so clean and new, with fully equipped rooms and very short taxi run to SJO. Too bad I had to leave before the free breakfast.
