Majitel textilky Gustav Jarošek si nechal ve třicátých letech dvacátého století postavit tuto vilu jako rodinné sídlo... Autorem návrhu byl žák Josipa Plečnika pražský architekt Ludvík Hilgert (1895 - 1967). Dnes je uznáván jako významný představitel tzv. emocionálního funkcionalismu.
