Vrbno je část obce Hořín, asi 2,5 km na jihozápad od ní. Trvale zde žije kolem stovky obyvatel. Území bylo opakovaně osídleno už od poloviny 5. tisíciletí př. n. l. Vesnice vznikla patrně v 11. století, její první písemná zmínka pochází z roku 1241. Původní pohřebiště se rozkládalo kolem kostela Povýšení svatého Kříže v centru obce a bylo rozsáhlejší než dnes. Jeho dominantou je hrobka rodu Plačků se sochou anděla. Součástí ohradní zdi jsou i dvě kaple. Nový hřbitov byl zbudován poté, co ten původní přestal dostačovat. Je umístěn u silnice Vrbno-Hořín stranou obce asi 700 metrů od kostela, přibližně na půl cesty mezi Vrbnem a Vraňansko-hořínským plavebním kanálem. Pohřebiště je opravdu příkladně udržováno a můžete tu najít několik zajímavých náhrobků.

Vrbno is a part of the village of Hořín, about 2.5 km southwest of it. There are about a hundred inhabitants living here permanently. The area has been repeatedly inhabited since the middle of the 5th millennium BC. The village was probably founded in the 11th century, its first written mention dates back to 1241. The original burial ground was situated around the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in the centre of the village and was larger than today. Its dominant feature is the tomb of the Plaček family with a statue of an angel. Two chapels are also part of the enclosure wall. A new cemetery was built after the original one was no longer sufficient. It is located on the Vrbno-Hořín road on the side of the village about 700 metres from the church, approximately halfway between Vrbno and the Vraňany-Hořín Navigation Canal. The burial ground is really well maintained and you can find several interesting tombstones here.
