We have come here to taste a great food, but it was an gastronomical adventure. The food we had was just amazing and delicious. We had 2 types of steak and 3 side dishes. The “appetizer” and half-dark beer was equally amazing. Martina (waitress) was a “cherry on a cake” as she was extremely nice, knew the menu and tastes well and was very helpful. I am already planning a next visit.. We we told Stepan was in the kitchen - no surprise as the meal was amazing

Must have, when in Sumava. One of the most visited restaurants in Czech republic offer local beef, plans, herbs. This place is run by amazing and honest people. It is located in the nature and I guarantee that you won't want to leave. Don't miss out!

Delicious food, great staff, very good customer service. It’s a bit pricey, but it’s worth coming. Only complain it took very long time to get the food. I recommend coming here (with spare time).

Absolute gem in the middle of nowhere, this restaurant would prosper in any large city in the world, how it does is in its location is a small miracle. Delicious food, great service, lovely summer garden which spans hundreds of meters.

If you love meat - come here. Located on the beautiful farm with cows, rabbits and vegetables.

We were staying on the camping and enjoyed an extensive lunch here after our neighbours on the campsite highly recommended us to go here. We were expecting very high prices, which may be the case for Czech standards, but we enjoyed excellent food which was not expensive at all according to western standards. The trout bruschetta and beef ribs were really delicious and the lemonade is recommendable. The personnel was really friendly and did their best to communicate in English.

Simply the best. Very nice helpful and friendly staff. Explained everything, talked about the origin of the meat and much more.
They also had a very good coffee actually. Great was the offer of local products to take away. I bought a jam and it was so delicious I used the whole pack with a pancake the same day.

We visited the restaurant after a year, whereby last summer, I was repeatedly very disappointed with the service and food both. Today's visit was therefore preceded by a healthy dose of skepticism, but the place totally surprised, apparently taking quite some lessons learned. Even though the staff was the same, the service was good and prompt, the meals, while relying on the proven dishes as the mainstay of the culinary experience, offered a nice fresh twist such as addition of edible flowers, etc. We very much enjoyed our visit at the restaurant today, and I truly hope to be equally satisfied next time around again.

A real gem between restaurants. Prices are a bit over the edge for the region, but you won’t regret a cent you spend here. Their steaks(flank) are so tender, you can almost cut them with the fork. It was nice to see the cook get out to pick some vegetable und herbs from their garden.

Excellent bison tartare steak, the best I've had so far. Main dish steaks were a bit more done than requested, so I recommend to lower your request in the rare direction.

Great kitchen and lovely neighborhood

Good food, nice atmospehere, pleasant service. A bit off the grid, but worthwhile. On a sunny winter day, perfect lunch by the window.
