Good central entry into Kromeriz. The RegioJet bus from Brno stops here and it's close to all the Kromeriz attractions. The plaque on the Church of John The Baptist describes what you can find in the squares
"One of the noticeable buildings of Masaryk square is Church of the Bapt peak of baroque architecture in Morava. The church was built by the Border between 1741, and 1768 according to the project of Ingác J. Cyrani from Boleshaus on presents the by the Piarist Ordar yearly medievalespe the place of originally earned a muspital church of the Johannites Order from the first half of the 13 centa century, it is a central builong body with vaulted dome. Important baroque artists participate the integrated decoration of the interio: Fresco decoration of the interior by J. J. Etgens celebrates the patron de Baptist Integrated and first- rate art and historical decoration of the interior classifies this building as one of the host valuable of its time. Opposite the church there is baroque building of Piarist grammar school (no. 8) from years 1694 1698 with richly structured entrance portal. Seminary of boy singers (Jánská street, no. 27/12) came into existence together with the grammar school at the end of 17 century. Piarist College adjacent to the church (Pilařova street no. 7) is now used as Pavel Josef Vejvanovský Conservatoire. Other noticeable buildings on the square are building of grammar school from years 1889 1890 and neo-renaissance German secondary school built between 1875 and 1877 according to the project of Vienna architect G. Merreta, today used as seat of Judicial Academy. Kroměříž has very well preserved town walls. You can see part of them in the courtyard of former German secondary school."
