Hostinec Vystřelený Vočko

Cosy, tastefully decorated with sheltered courtyard seating, pleasant staff, prompt service and delicious selection of Czech recipes on the menu. My husband had pork with spinach and 2 kinds of dumplings, I chose larded rabbit with thyme and wine sauce, potato dumplings. Both were tender, succulent, huge portions. Cold beer to wash the meal down. Highly recommend for a stop at any time of the day, you will not be disappointed.

We visited on quite busy Saturday lunch time and we had to wait for about 20 minutes to get seated. Staff was also very busy, but we got our order quickly in less then 15 minutes. Unfortunately nobody come to offer coffee or dessert (not that the service was bad, it was easy to see they very busy and working hard). The food was awesome, big portion and very fair price. It was great surprise and we would love to visit again when possible. Definitely try any Czech cuisine and also craft-lemonade Sumavenka.

Top smažák a knedlíky s uzeným. // Try some traditional meals from Czech cousine, e. g. fried cheese (this time mature cheddar) or dumplings with sauerkraut, it's rich and satisfying for reasonable price.. Yeah, and a perfect dessert. Cheddar could be less mature, maybe.. but it was overall symphony. 😁

Very pleasant surprise as we were passing by and needed some food. The atmosphere is very nice, with a fire heating the place nicely this winter day. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and I don't think I've ever had meals delivered more quickly, fast food outlets included. This isn't a gourmet place, but they serve Czech cuisine with a twist (such as my mouflon svíčková), and while the dishes may not be breathtaking, they have been prepared very well). All at very modest prices. No play area indoors, but our kids were well received, and in the summer there's a playground outside, away from the road. Warmly recommended.

Great food and excellent value for money.
Menu is only in czech and the staff doesn't speak any other language. But they are very kind and patience with us non czech speaking tourists :-) With the help of another customer who could translate for us we had the most amazing meal. We will definitely go back for another great meal. All the food is homemade and comes in very generous portions. For us the best czech restaurant in the south. And plenty of (paid, only 50 krone for a day) parking space across the road.

Unusual but great garden to this restaurant, nice staff, very good meals. The price quality ratio also good.

Probably the best restaurant in the Rábí town, where you can get the honest czech cuisine, including gigantic portions that nobody normal can ever eat. They offer all the classics for moderate prices (150-200 CZK) such as fried cheese, dumplings with saurkraut and pork, dumplings filled with fruit, duck and many others.

It's possible to sit inside or outside at many different roofed garden tables, so the rain shouldn't be an issue. However, you can have a problem to find an empty spot, especially during the high season in summer and on weekends, as this is a popular destination of cyclists, families visiting the castle and also rafters/kayakers/canoers coming in from the nearby river. This is also reflected in the speed and quality of the service.

Just be patient, because some waiting and minor chaos are worth the effort for the food they make.

Fun fact: The name of the restaurant ("shot eye") makes a reference to the local legend about how Žižka lost one of his eyes ;)

The food is very tasty and the staff friendly. Sitting both outside and inside. Good for people with dogs and little children. A small playground outside with a sandbox. If you were hungry and somewhere 100km around then visit this place ...
