Die wunderschöne und ortsbildprägende Kirche hat eine sehr lange Vergangenheit. Neben dem alten Kirchturm besteht die Kirche heute im wesentlichen aus dem 1823 erbauten östlichen Langhaus und den 1889 angebauten neugotischen Querschiffen. 1913 wurde das westliche Langhaus errichtet sowie der Dachreiter über dem Eingangsbereich gesetzt. Im Inneren erfreuen die sehr schönen Buntglasfenster sowie die interessante Bemalung. Die Orgel stammt von der Orgelbaufirma Klais.
