Beautiful ex - DDR brutalismus in center Chemnitz, not far from the Karl Marx statue.
Comfortable rooms, and tasty breakfasts.

I was there for 4 days when I attended an international conference at the University of Mittweida. My room had a single but nice bed. We had an affordable discount rate of €69 per night. The staff at the front desk and those at the restaurant are great. The bathroom facilities were all also great. Their breakfast is excellent and is served on the topmost 26th floor which allows you to view the city of Chemintz. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the main train station and is next to a building with Carl Marx's statue. Also next to the hotel is an Asian (Hong Kong) restaurant which serves a nice buffet at a rate of €16 per person (except 1 day which is €19 per person). Check the rate of the day in front of the restaurant before you get in. Overall, I enjoyed my stay!

The skyscraper-like hotel in the center of chemnitz has clean rooms that are quite well equipped. Restaurant in the 26th floor, Karl-Marx-Head view from the room window. Not too modern but everything there and very kind staff.

This was the first time I've stayed here since it was a Mercure. I think the move to Dorint has improved it. The views over Chemnitz are still impressive and the top-floor breakfast buffet is excellent. Rooms are quite small but perfectly adequate.

Very central, close to everything and only about 10mins walking to the train station. The rooms are well-sized and modernized, bed was very comfortable. I have to highlight the cleanliness of the room, and another plus are the windows which are actually openable. Views are nice from the room, and there were enough towels provided as well as free water.

Very good value for money. Room was fine (well maintained, clean), breakfast excellent and the views from the upper floors pretty nice.

Amazing view over Chemnitz from 17th floor. I much enjoyed the stay in the remarkable hotel, knowing the building from my childhood days, it's always been a small dream to stay there. Breakfast in the Panorama restaurant in 26th floor was awesome, too. Thumbs up! I'll be back 👌😁

Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Great courtesy water in the room and well stocked minibar at the reception. Excellent breakfast with amazing view from 26th floor.

I traveled from Japan to Germany and I stayed this hotel 3 years ago. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was nice and you can see the whole view of Chemnitz from 26th floor dining. There is information about this hotel in German, French and English there.

The room was very clean, warm and cozy. The price war more than okay and we would recommend the Dorint for everyone staying in Chemnitz!

It's charm is in its history. It was built in the time of the GDR. So expect the Communist grey theme. Inside its really striking. The building was built like a bunker. I kid you not with meter thick walls. It's centrally located really historic. The staff were accommodating.

4 rooms with all single beds for me and my team with beautifull views and finally we found a hotel with kettle and tea to make our selfs.
