Belvedere on the Klausberg

Despite the muddy path we encountered during our spring visit after a rain spell, the beauty of the surroundings remained unspoiled. The palace itself is a magnificent sight to behold, and the stunning overview from the location left me awestruck.

As a first-time visitor, I was captivated by the natural charm and tranquility of the place. For those who are keen to witness the full bloom of the surrounding plants, I would recommend visiting during mid-spring, summer, or autumn. These seasons offer the perfect opportunity to experience the natural beauty in all its glory.

Overall, I would highly recommend Belvedere on the Klausberg to anyone who loves nature and desires to bask in a serene atmosphere. This destination offers an unparalleled experience that is simply unforgettable.

One of the hidden gems in the expansive Sansoucy park. The rotunda style building sits atop a hill and offers beautiful views of the parkgrounds and the surrounding area

This is my favorite spot of all of Sanssouci.
You have an awesome tree lined venue, with grass and shade. At the very end you can see a beautiful building, reach it and take the stairs to have elevate and have a great view over the gardens.

The building is based on a drawing trying to reconstruct the Imperial Palace on the Palatine Hill in Ancient Rome. Another very beautiful place in a great harmony with the nature.

I didn’t see the inside but I have to say the views were wonderful! I loved the place and the weather was perfect to go on a walk

A nice looking neoclassical rotunda that offers a beautiful view of the descending hill and the park. The exterior is a little bit warn out though.

Wir haben am 11.05.24 den Sonderöffnungstag genutzt und haben uns das kleine Schloss von innen angeschaut....eine sehr schöne Aussicht ...

Vom Belvedere auf dem Klausberg hat man oben im Kupelsaal einen besonderen, eindrucksvollen Blick auf das Neue Palais wie es nur von wenigen Objekten möglich ist. Die Deckenmalerei mit den Vögeln ist sehr schön gestaltet. Die Architektur lädt ebenso zum Verweilen und Bestaunen ein. Im unteren Teil ist die Restaurierung und Wiederherstellung sowie Geschichte des Bau's ausgestellt.

Wunderschön morgens an der Balustrade spazieren gehen und den Blick auf Schloss Sanssouci schweifen lassen.

Das zweitschönste Belvedere in Potsdam, das andere steht auf dem Pfingstberg und liefert wirklich einen Gesamtüberblick über Potsdam. Hier ist der Blick stark eingeschränkt und geht hauptsächlich ins Grüne. Schön ist es trotzdem allemal.

Aktuell leider nicht geöffnet, von außen aber schon sehr hübsch.

Ein ruhiger, fast noch menschenleerer Ort und toller Beginn einer etwas anderen Tour durch die Gärten von Sanssoucci.
Beginnend am Lindtstedter Tor zu Fuß aufsteigend, grandioser kleiner Weg in natürlicher Wegbegrenzung, grandioser Blick.
Bitte verweilt kurz auf den zahlreichen Bänken , geniesst die Stille, stärkt euch und läuft dann weiter Richtung Sanssoucci.
Rechts das Drachenhaus, Richtung Gärten und Schloß eine atemberaubende Allee und unterhalb immer auf die Maulbeerallee blickend.
Sehr zu empfehlen.
