Nauener Tor

Nauener Tor is one of the three preserved gates of Potsdam. It was built in 1755 and is the first example of the influence of English Gothic Revival architecture in Continental Europe. Many cafes, restaurants and shops around.

This place had a different vibe. We loved it. Near to this tor few restaurants and cafes are available and we had lunch in one of them. I would say this place was so nice that the restaurants around this place were a bit expensive but if you want to enjoy the view then you can sit and eat something over there. Otherwise worth clicking photos 😉

Lots of cute little cafes and shops all around. The landmark itself is stunning! There is a small park nearby where I sat & enjoyed my lunch.

Very well preserved gate, nice to visit - there are multiple places nearby to seat and drink something while enjoying the sight. 400 meters away from the main street and 10 mins walking from the Brandenburger Tor

I love the Nauener Tor. The history behind it is fascinating and goes to show the age and development of inner Potsdam. It's near a wonderful sortiment of cafés and restaurants, so you can sit outside and enjoy the view! It's right next to the Dutch quarters and the downtown part of the city. If you are visiting Potsdam, you have got to at least check it out! Plus, if you are taking the tram 96 or 92, you can drive through the gate! Pretty neat stuff!
