The Orangery Palace in Potsdam is a true treasure of Prussian history - a magnificent example of Italian Renaissance architecture with imposing size and elegant colonnades. Despite the high number of visitors in peak season and the lack of accessibility, the architectural beauty is undeniable.
It reflects the taste of Frederick William IV and now houses a museum that offers insights into the life and art of the 19th century.

I visited this historical place last summer. Visited from outside but it is one of the most beautiful architectural designs in Germany. You can sit here and enjoy a balcony view. There is a beautiful garden in front of the castle. Definitely a worth visit.

there are 5 rooms inside, they give you big slippers to wear over your shoes and an information sheet explaining the rooms. it was a great experience to wander around the castle.

My favorite place in Potsdam! Ever since I discovered this palace, I visit here on a regular basis - twice or three times a week. There are so many things I love about this place: First of all, I like the tranquility and the minimalistic Italian-like architecture. Second, there’s this stunning ‘green corridor’ connecting here and ‘Belvedere’ to the west. Third, you can smell the citrusy scent when you go there at winter times. Lastly, you can sometimes see a choir practicing under the open dome structure, if you’re lucky. I prefer Orangerieschloss to any other palace in Potsdam. Definitely recommendable with a score of 10/10. Enjoy the relaxing time here! :)

This is the spot with the best view of the grounds! It's a walk up the spiral stairs, but worth the effort! We got some great shots from here and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Some of it was closed due to maintenance, but what we saw was amazing!

This is a beautiful palace that is worth the time and effort to get there. Each room has a story and it is so enjoyable to see these beautifully decorated rooms. The tour lasts about 30mins, and afterwards you can climb up to the roof for a spectacular view of the park. Take the time to walk the grounds. It is beautiful.

Great place. Only 4 euros for 5 beautiful rooms and big hall with Raphael paintings copies. It's very high maintenance. Stuff is a little bit too oppressive but whatever... Garden is beautiful too and butiful with arches make big impression however towers are still under renovation.

So beautiful place! I didn't know about it eventhoug I live in Potsdam, but when I saw its beauty, I feel in love. Place is breathtaking! I had a feeling that I am on a seaside, Italy. Also, not so many tourists so you can really enjoy nice architecture, nature...must see at least during the summer!

This place can be called a must have for any tourist who visited as Potsdam in general, as this park especially. Very, very beautiful architecture of the palace itself. It is very large and does not look like a single monolithic piece, as they sometimes liked to build palaces. There you can climb to the roof and look at part of the park and the entire garden in front of the palace. And, in fact, visit the museum itself inside the palace. Tours are accompanied by one person who opens and closes the rooms, and everyone can take a page in several languages with a general description of the rooms, and an audio guide in several languages. In the group where I was, there were definitely audio guides in Russian and English, for example.
Should you visit this museum? ... Perhaps yes, I can recommend this place to anyone who at least loves art and who is at least a little interested in history, as this place has many interesting exhibits about which the audio guide tells some interesting things.

We were not sure about visiting it, because it's temporarily closed, but even just from the outside is one of the most beautiful places of the city!

Towers were under construction when we visited (autumn 2017), but fountain, terraces and the view of the park from this place make it worth visiting.

Sheer opulence - ancient palm trees, in the middle of Germany?!? This palace and its history evoke so many thoughts and feelings about what was and what could have been.
