Weltvogelpark Walsrode

A huge bird park. Recommended you wear good shoes, lots of walking involved. The park is full of different species of birds from around the world. There are outside and inside cages alongside averies and outdoor sections. The park puts on an excellent outside show on with the larger birds. Plenty of seats to take a rest and good toilet facilities. Lots to do for the kids including a huge set of tube slides to get exhausted on! Easily put aside three to four hours for a visit.

Definitely recommend! All the birds are living in great conditions and looking healthy. We had an amazing day here.

This is a paradise for bird lovers. The collection of birds is huge.
There were two shows. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. The shows were very good with huge birds flying over the public.
The release of all the parrots at the end of the show was great.

You can easily spend all day at the park. For the young ones there are big playgrounds.

Impressive variety of international birds. Not cheap at €27,50 (less if you book ahead), but worth the money.

Go see the houses where butterflies flutter around your head, the one where parrots zoom past you, and visit the rare Kiwi in its dark refuge.

Plan ahead to see the feeding, and open-air bird of prey flight shows. (Times posted at the entrance, included in the regular ticket)
I’m tempted to book a meet&greet with the penguins on my next visit.

Very nice variety of birds. 3-4 hours to see everything, convenient dining options inside park. Additionally great recreation are for kids till 12 y with many slides.

Great bird park with many different species, a cool flight show and a lot of fun for both kids and adults. And what’s the best for me: there are shoebills !!!

5 star experience on a beautiful Sunday. All very well organised and protected. You not only see a big variety of birds, in nicely protected environment but as well interesting flight show and direct experience with some of them (only if you want).
I have been in some other bird parks on other geographies. One sad thing about these had been how the birds kept in an unfriendly way. Here it is definitely not the case. Birds seem healthy and happy (at least to me).
Parking is easy, directions clear. Logistics (e.g toilets) well organised, clean. Enough food opportunities, quite many playing areas for the kids.
We arrived short before 3 pm and were not fully finished when they closed the park at 7 pm. If you want to visit all areas, see the shows and still would like to have some breaks to eat, you better calculate 5-6 hours there. Otherwise, you need to rush & have to be extremely lucky to see all in 2-3 hours

Really amazing place! It provides a full day program, absolutely worth it! Moreover, a perfect environment to develop ecological thinking: direct contact between animals and humans is a positive, life-long experience!

Not to be missed, we've been here several times over the years and it just gets better. There are hundreds of birds to see, the grounds are lovely with beautiful gardens and flowers. The show has changed a little since our previous visit but is still excellent. Ample free parking is available a short distance over a bridge from the main entrance. I would advise taking your own food and drinks, otherwise it can work out to be a very expensive day out.

Must visit place in Germany I can say... Got a very good chance to see some extraordinary birds and even we can feed them.

Really cool place lots of very pretty birds and some places where you can feed them which is a really great experience really takes from opening to close to see everything

Amazing birds, plants, shows. There is a discount for a second day and next time we will plan two days stay. There are also places for kids (with tubes :) and Cafe, many ice cream vending machines and possibilities to buy some food for birds, so it is absolutely must to have some coins :)

Absolutely fantastic place. The entire park is very entertaining, informative and relaxing.
I recommend anyone who seeks to relax and view some rare birds to come along and visit this place.
The daily shows are also very well made and executed.
Well suited for all ages.

Had loads of fun! Been seeing birds I didn't even know existed, had quick conversations with clever Keas, and almost lost my head during the bird show. 4 hours weren't even enough to visit all.
