Schöne moderne kath. Kirche mit einer guten Akustik und für die Interaktion zwischen Seelsorger und Gemeinde wunderbare Architektonik im Halbkreis um den Altar! Sicher in seiner Art etwas sehr besonderes.

La Heilig Kreuz Kirche (iglesia de la Santa Cruz) fue proyectada por Richard Jörg (1908-1992) con la colaboración de Bernhard Schmitz. Richard Jörg fue jefe de obras de la ciudad de Maguncia entre 1947-1952 y fue el responsable de la construcción de varias iglesias. La iglesia es la primera preconciliar en Alemania. El edificio fue construido entre 1953-54, lo más llamativo es la forma completamente circular de la planta y la cúpula plana recubierta de cobre. Está construida con hormigón armado y el cerramiento exterior está realizado con puertas revestidas de cobre. El exterior del edificio forma un patio com forma trapezoidal y conforma un conjunto unitario con el resto de la iglesia cuando ésta abre sus puertas.
