GONDWANA - the Prehistorium

Although it is far away from where we live ( 250km), we always come here with joy. It is a different approach to a classic Dyno park, it is indoors so you can visit when the weather is not good, and also has an indoor playground for children. Our daughters always love this place and are really excited to discover it every time. The only negative thing I would mention is the food options ( not a lot), and the cleaning around the food area ( the tables were very dirty). 👍

A fantastic place with surprising 3D and 4D movies, amazing animatronics, life size reconstructions and all of these indoors! The animatronics representation of the Jurassic life is marvelous, all of the attractions are better than I would have expected. Great fun and education for the entire family!

We went with family that came to visit from Greece and it was for one more time amazing. Even though we didn't got to watch the Dino Show it was still an amazing experience, they loved it too and we will for sure go again when the rest of the stuff are build and ready.

This place truly surprised me. I had really low expectations but it really blew our minds.
My 6yr son loves Dinosaurs and he is a little geek and can tell from a good Museum/Show.
We were there for almost 4 hours but well worth it. The shows in between the rooms are amazing. I'm not going to spoiled the run but be prepare for one of the shows!!!!!
I have to say. It needs a little, just a little detailing in making it a bit less dark in some areas and some you might say is a little dirty but nothing bad.
But to me for the Price you pay you get way way more for your money. In all not expensive compare to others.
Sadly we didn't try to restaurant because for us it wasn't well advertise but you can bring some snacks with you and enjoy outside.

The kids playground here is great! The dinosaur museum exhibit is nice as well. Very realistic looking. If you have 2-3 year old who get scared easily I don’t recommend it. My 3 year old was able to go but he got scared in some parts. Now he is 4 and he is still a bit shy in some of the exhibits. But he loves the playground! The displays are very informative even though they are in German. I could figure out what they were trying to represent and I can’t read german.

I recommend the season pass as we frequent here a lot when it is cold outside. Food is decent and they have beer and wine! I highly recommend this place.

This museum was the best one my family and I have ever been to! I definitely recommend it! Everything you would imagine and more, it was there! The 3D shows were so awesome and fun and everything was so realistic! 😀

We took a 1.5 hour drive from Heidelberg to visit this exhibition. We didn't regret it. Was worth every penny. Bought the family ticket. We arrived at 10 am when they opened and were pretty much alone in the morning. Most people arrived after 12 noon. We stayed for 4 hours. The exhibition is recommended for children aged 6+. My boys are 3 and 5 and they were quite scared. Unfortunately I made up some scary stories about the dinosaurs being real on our way there and they turned out to look damn realistic - so I guess it's partly my fault. Parking was free and plenty of space. Indoor playground was nice, the kids spent 1.5 hours there. Bring a lot of 1 Euro coins for the electric cars. Food was okayish, not bad not great. Kids menu is about 5 Euro. Wiener Schnitzel with fries like 10.50 Euro. For me the most realistic and one of the best dinosaur exhibitions in Germany.

I was fascinated by the accuracy of the evidence presented in this museum and how it was weaved into an interactive journey through time. I felt as though I was walking through time. This is a must see for those interested in the evolution of our phenomenal planet and it's inhabitants.

I knew it was Dino focused but it was so well done across all prehistoric and historic eras. The combo of 3d/4d segments, museum exhibitions, "Real life" walk through dioramas and animatronics was supered. Offers something for most age ranges. Was only a shame the playground wasn't available the day we went.

Wonderful place to take children for a day out!! The staff was very nice and friendly and the establishment was very clean!! Would definitely go again!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed the visit, definitely unlike any other pre-historic museum. The shows and the environment for each era is displayed so well.

Absolutely fantastic place to go with dinosaur loving children. Younger children might get scared. Very well designed mix of animation 3D/4D movies, and life like scenes. A little bit expensive but really worth it. Spent the day there with a dinosaur obsessed 4 year old and a 8 year old they both had great fun. Most of all we all really enjoyed the dinosaur show! The lady had reception was not very nice but the young mine inside was very helpful and nice. There are audio guides available in French and English for non German speakers.

As a scientist I have minor critique points and small inaccuracies, but other than that I thought the experience was very good and unique for a natural history museum.

Amazing place not only for kids but also for adults. Really fantastic shows and performances. Highly recommend!

Lovely family visit, this place is perfect for rainy days with lots of dino adventure and really educational even for the adults. Even more they offer a great indoor playground with friendly and attentive staff. Price is absolutely reasonable.

Although we only speak a small bit of German, and this place only being in German language, it was so awesome the details behind all of this exhibit! Its clean, fun, my 5 year old loves it as well as my husband and I. Will definitely recommend this for anyone who is looking for a couple hours to spend!

We have been there twice and it's still the best place to visit with your sauropodaholic kids. The 4D movie was a bit too much for a 6 year old kid but at least the parents and teenies could get a dose of adrenaline ;). The artificial lake next to the museum is worth to have a glance on it. Also recommended for couples.

Nice experience, the museum is well done and interactive, making it really interesting for everyone. It is a little bit more complicated for non German speaker, as they will need to use QR codes to read the descriptions, however it remains a great experience.

One of the best museum experiences. Very interesting exhibits with awesome experience models and shows related to prehistoric artifacts and human evolution.

Fantastic and fun day out. Enjoyed the shows with the animatronics as well as the movies. Also enjoyed the exhibitions for the different landscapes and time periods. Our two year old had a great time. Would highly recommend!
