I was pleasantly surprised! The artistic work is excellent, and the English audio tour is very helpful and clear! Bring your own earphones, because they don't have them (otherwise you have to hold the audio device to your ear). You can make your own figurine, which is also very fun for kids (parties).
The interactive pieces on display are great to look at and experience.

Our 2 year old loved it, it is rare to find a museum that children also enjoy. There was enough interactivity to keep her busy. She was able to make and paint her own figure!

Amazing place and very nice experience to work on your own figurine. It doesn't take a lot of time and you can sit and relax after a morning of walking.

We discovered this gem by accident and we were lucky to be able to make our own figurines out of tin. The staff was super nice and explained the whole process to the kids. The results were amazing and kids loved it, highly recommend!

Very interesting and fun exposition for adults and children. Also you can make and drowning a zink figure by yourself.

Super friendly staff who speak good English and take evident pleasure in sharing the museum, showing how meticulously painted tin figures are made by hand, and helping kids safely make their own and then paint them. Prices very reasonable.

You make your own tint toy by casting on your own. Wait for 5 minutes for cooling down. Remove edges. Polish. And even paint. Very unique experience!

Small but very nice museum.

The tin figure museum presents historical events and 1000 years of mining history in dioramas featuring thousands of little tin figures, with incredible intricacy and detail. There are also smaller works presenting legends and fairy stories. There’s a possibility to make and paint your own figures, which keeps kids interested. The combined ticket with the Town Museum is good value.

Small but nice place, interesting. Lot to see, Nice building. We went there several times with kids on rainy days. For little money you can make and paint own figures. Very kind people are there to help.

Its like the miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg but much cheaper and without the trains. And they let you make your own figure. Lovely and kids love it.

Absolutely not to be missed!

Dieses Museum ist wirklich ein Kleinod in der ohnehin wunderschönen Stadt Goslar. Allein das Fachwerkgebäude, eine alte Wassermühle, ist sehenswert.
Die Zinnfiguren sind allesamt in kleinen und großen Dioramen ausgestellt, teilweise sogar mit beweglichen Details. Es ist faszinierend, in welcher Vielfalt verschiedene Themen bearbeitet werden. Natürlich überwiegen die Klassiker wie "Bergbau" und "Schlachten".
Im Erdgeschoss kann man selbst tätig werden bei der Herstellung von Figuren oder einfach dabei zuschauen.
Es gibt Kombitickets mit dem benachbarten Goslar-Museum für 5 Euro. Dort gibt es auch Gepäckfächer, Wickelraum und Toiletten.

Ganz nette Mitarbeiter, fachkundig und sehr liebevoll im Umgang mit den grossen Kindern beim Zinn gießen. 😀 Hoffentlich bleiben alle gesund, damit das Museum lange erhalten/geöffnet bleiben kann. Eigentlich wäre Montag geschlossen gewesen, aber da Dienstag Feiertag war, wurde geöffnet. Wunderbare Entscheidung, vielen lieben Dank.

Sehr liebevoll gestaltetes Museum, das einem die Geschichte der Gegend nahe bringt. Die Räume befinden sich auf mehreren Etagen eines restaurierten Fachwerkhaus. In der ersten Etage gibt es eine niedliche Ecke für kleine Kinder zum Beschäftigen. Ich durfte ein bisschen bei der Herstellung zuschauen, die im Erdgeschoss stattfand.
Ein weiteres Highlight war die sehr informative Führung durch die angrenzende Lohmühle. Die Mühlräder wurden sogar extra zum Laufen gebracht. Danke nochmal an den Mitarbeiter! Einfach am Eingang nachfragen und eine Spende da lassen.

Sehr empfehlenswert! Es gibt wirklich viel zu sehen, alles aus Zinn gefertigt, ein tolles Museum nach oben raus, sehr beeindruckend.
Super toll war es, das wir unsere eigenen Zinnfiguren gießen konnten. Es gibt eine gute Auswahl, total faire Preise und es hat großen Spaß gemacht. Vom gießen bis zum feilen, es wird nochmal nachpoliert. Wer mag darf noch anmalen.
Wir freuen uns nun über tolle Monopoly Figuren und würden gewiss nochmal wieder kommen, denn auch als Mitbringsel aus dem Urlaub absolut empfehlenswert.

Mitmachen, anfassen, Fragen stellen und kindgerecht erklärt bekommen. Wir fanden es toll und blieben 3h! Die Kinder waren so begeistert eigenes Zinn zu gießen, zu schleifen, zu bemalen! Großes Dank an die mitwirkenden Leute dort! Ihr macht die Welt ein bisschen besser!
