Hohenzollern Castle in Sigmaringen is stunning both inside and out. In my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful castles in Germany. The only downside is that only a small portion of the castle is open for viewing. While exploring inside, it might not seem like you’re missing something, but when you look at castle from a distance, you realize how much remains unexplored behind closed doors.

Visiting Sigmaringen Castle was an absolute delight! The castle exudes majesty from every corner, offering a captivating glimpse into history. The grandeur of the architecture and the rich heritage contained within its walls make for an unforgettable experience. Whether you choose to purchase tickets online or directly at the castle, exploring its interior is a must!

Amazing and beautiful. Headsets are provided in different languages to understand the history of each are. Great gift shop. Wonderful staff. Not handicapped accessible and you park down the hill from the castle and have to walk up to it. Great bakeries and restaurants down the hill.

Beautiful castle with a great audio-guide, very different from many other castles in the area. It's huge and though you only get to see a small part of it, it's more than in most of other castles and with a lot of information.
Take your cable headphones to use them with the audio guide. The area around is also beautiful.
I got there in the last hour and though normally I would prefer to stay longer in such a beautiful place, I had a luxury to be alone in it almost for the whole hour.

A very chic castle. We came here for the second time. The chic interiors of the castle are simply amazing. Great collection of weapons. But most of all I liked that in the castle you can listen to the guide in several languages. You choose your language on a small phone given to you at the box office and listen to it as you walk through the halls. Very comfortably! No one interferes with anyone and everything is clear. I am delighted. It is very comfortable. Other castles and museums should follow the example of Singmaringen Castle. Thank you.

This was the favorite of the three large castles in this region. Recommend one to three hours to tour the castle, listen to the audio guide, and explore this cramped town and cross the river for the picturesque view of the castle from the other side
Parking: reasonably priced parking lots with easy access near the train station.
Tour: included with your ticket is a real produced audio guide, providing you extensive background and information on each of the rooms that you visit. The audio guide tour provides information on both the rooms you're visiting and the royal family members who once lived here.
Unlike some of the other castles in the region You get to see the majority of the castle which is very well maintained

Very pretty in several of the rooms and an excellent audioguide. You can learn a lot about the history and see various room designs.
I really enjoyed how not crowded it was.
It is one of my favorite castles I’ve seen in Germany.

I visited more then 100 castles, but this castle is one of the biggest and richest I have seen in my live. You can take audio guide & buy castle vine or liqueur in the end of tour. You need around 3-4 hours to see everything inside. Highly recommended to visit this place.

More of a palace than a castle, this is still an impressively large and imposing building that makes for good photos (though you need to cross the river to get the classic picture of it). The tour was via audioguide. I parked in town and had a short walk there, but it was relatively easy to get to. Less impressive than Burg Hohenzollern, but still worth your time.

Sigmaringen Castle is a stunning Gothic Revival castle that dominates the skyline of the town of Sigmaringen in Germany. It was the princely castle and seat of government for the Princes of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen for centuries. The castle is beautifully preserved and offers visitors a glimpse into the lives of the Hohenzollern family.

The castle is divided into two parts: the Old Castle and the New Castle. The Old Castle was built in the 12th century and is the oldest part of the complex. It houses a number of historical artifacts, including a collection of armor and weapons, a library, and a chapel. The New Castle was built in the 17th century and is more lavishly decorated. It features a number of state rooms, a ballroom, and a theater.

One of the best things about Sigmaringen Castle is its location. It sits on a cliff overlooking the Danube River, offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The castle is also surrounded by a beautiful park, making it a perfect place for a leisurely stroll.

If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable travel experience, I highly recommend visiting Sigmaringen Castle. It's a truly magical place that will transport you back in time.

It is one of the beautifullst castle in germany on the swabian jura. The museum is one of the best private collection from all eras. If you around you should go and have a look.

A Castle, hidden by town and trees, on a small Hill atop the young River Donau. Its Almosen Bagger inside, than it appears from the outside.
Over 400 rooms, some of which you can be shown to you.
The cellar holds a vast collection of medieval to 18th century weapons.
The whole castle is in pristine condition and you can fully enjoy a tour through the ages and the family story of one of the great and influential houses of central Europe.
The place is very romantic, and wonderfully cool in summer.

One of the biggest weapon collections I ever saw. The castle is also interesting and the guide was really enjoyable. Allow yourself at least 120 minutes for the whole visit: 60 for the guided tour and 60 minutes for the weapons collection.

One of the castles also owned by Hohenzollern family. Beautiful castle in a beautiful city! Good place for hiking too! You can go into the castle for a tour but you must purchase a ticket at the entrance. One of must place to visit in Swabian Alb.
