The Chapel of the Holy Corpse, donated in 1368, served as a cemetery chapel. In 1526 the council moved the cemetery outside the city for reasons of hygiene. The chapel was profaned and used to store church inventory that was no longer needed. An intermediate ceiling was put in. The head of the church treasury used the upper room. of the common box, for meetings. In 1569 the caste lords added pottery stalls to the outside. With the restoration of 1845-50, the chapel was restored to its late medieval state. Today it serves as a prayer room.

Eine wunderschöne kleine Kapelle, direkt an der Stadtkirche.Täglich geöffnet und Raum der Stille. Ein Besuch lohnt sich, wenn Du in der Lutherstadt Wittenberg bist. Besonders morgens sind dort Schwestern des nahe gelegenen Stadtkonvents Communität Christusbruderschaft Selbitz anzutreffen.

Wunderbarer Raum der Ruhe, frei zugänglich und ein schönes Plätzchen zum stillen Gebet, was Schlosskirche und Stadtkirche der vielen Touristen wegen nicht bieten können.
