Marienhöh - Hideaway & Spa

We stayed there for a work seminar and we really like the hotel. The bedrooms inside the hotel have a good size and very (!) comfortable beds. The swimming pool and sauna is also relaxing. Alone the restaurant menu good be better suited for wellness. There was a lot of heavy meals and little selection of vegan/ soul food or other meals for special diet.

This hotel was really superb. The playroom had a great selection of toys and books and the restaurant had colouring pencils and paper. Everything we ate was really excellent including the kids food. The service from each individual staff member was incredibly friendly and helpful, they really listened and were particularly child friendly. The barman was particularly notable for his friendliness despite being under pressure. I got the impression however that there were perhaps not enough staff as they seemed to be badly managed/organised which was a pity.

Beautifully restored historic monastery, charming rooms and chalets, very good food, pool- and sauna area in the spa. We were visiting as a family with two small children (1+3), service and entertainment possibilities for this type of family were a bit limited though…

Thank you for the lovely stay during our trip. The rooms were spot on, very clean. Restaurant had delicious food. Breakfast was memorable :) and the spa was beyond anything we could imagine, we had a very relaxing stay.

Although I'm always here for business, it feels like an escape into holiday. Friendly staff, clean rooms, well serviced and lovely breakfast on a beautiful spot on the hill. Great place.

Beautiful surroundings, Das Marienhöh is lile an oasis of comfort and quietness. The bed and the pillow were great, the restaurant super, free parking, wifi, nice strong shower, everything was great. I really recommended it.

Service was exemplary. We visited in springtime and have booked again to go back with kids (family suite for 4 are best value). Restaurant is fine gourmet standard with decent wine selection etc. Separate buffet for kids - can eat with you or separately. Facilities are excellent - beautiful pool area, saunas (in and outside), jacuzzi's - Kids Club has great in/outdoor play areas, cinema, bowling. Langweiler is well, as the name suggests, boring - but fantastic local hikes, lots to see and do around the region, attractive towns to visit make it a great getaway for a weekend. Highly recommended.

We just have stayed five nights at this hotel and we had five wonderful days at this hotel.

Our car had broken down the day before and the hotel staff helped. I can not thank them enough they really went above and beyond.

All in. Alles bestens. All Amerikan should come and see this nice resort. Very wonderfull view in the forest and easy to see the land/country-side in the middel of Germany.

Fantastic experience in a beautiful location. Service is particularly good, very friendly, warm and welcome. The atmosphere throughout is extremely cosy.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit sehr aufmerksamen und freundlichen Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern. Das Zimmer war sehr ordentlich eingerichtet und das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen. Für das Abendessen haben wir sehr gerne das Restaurant genutzt.
Pool und Spa würden wir als klein aber fein bezeichnen. Zu voll war es zu keinem Zeitpunkt.
Etwas schade war nur dass die Lage sehr abgelegen ist. Einerseits ist es dadurch zwar erholsam ruhig. Andererseits ist dadurch durchaus etwas eingeschränkt was man außerhalb des Hotels unternehmen kann.

Ich war nun schon zum 6. Mal im Marienhöh essen. Das Essen war wie immer ein Genuss. Auch die Servicemitarbeiter konnten mich wieder mit ihrer zuvorkommenen und herzlichen Art überzeugen.
Die ruhige Lage mit dem Blick auf die Steinbachtalsperre begeistern mich jedes Mal aufs Neue. Es ist einfach ein toller Rückzugsort.
Ich bin fest entschlossen bald für eine Übernachtung vorbeizuschauen, um die ganzen Vorzüge dieses Hotels genießen zu können.

Wir waren als Ehepaar mit weiteren 3 Familienmitgliedern für eine Übernachtung im Marienhöh und haben dort eine wunderbare kurze Auszeit verbracht. Unser Zimmer war sehr schön, topsauber, modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Der Balkon bot uns einen wunderbaren Ausblick über Langweiler und der schönen Umgebung in der Natur. Einen Teil unserer Zeit haben wir im Spa Bereich und im Hallenbad verbracht, wo wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Abends wurden wir mit einem fantastischen 4 Gänge Menü und sehr guten Weinen verwöhnt . Das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war ebenfalls sehr lecker und reichhaltig an Auswahl. Das Personal war stets zuvorkommend, freundlich und es wurde einem das Gefühl vermittelt, dass man sehr willkommen ist. Insgesamt eine gelungene kurze Auszeit. Unser nächster Aufenthalt ist schon in Planung.
