Great place to visit! The ruin on its own is plenty interesting but the exhibition is also well done. Lady at the cashier was also very friendly.

Beautiful, freely accessible ruins of the monastery church (ruined in 1500s) next to the monastery cloister. Museum visit (€7 entry) is needed to see the cloister, which is very well maintained. Many exhibits in English and worth it to see inside. Parking is in front of the tourist information center right next door.

Amazing place. A really nice museum with a lot of fun and quirky features that combines the old history with modern society/technology.

A well restored abby with a well documented history. Even though it was only in German it was easy to follow.

Interesting location in the middle of the Harz Mountain, unfortunately the kiosk is closed because of covid in these days

It's such a lovely place. Peace surrounds you as you contemplate the lives of monks in days past there.

Outside you'll get impressive architecture. Inside there's a great exhibition on the monks who build this and hundreds of other buildings. The whole thing is in German but with lot of pictures, examples and funny cartoons for the kids along the way.

Medieval abbey, partly in ruins to which there is free access (surprisingly there were people clambering over the ruins unchecked). To see it properly you need to enter the museum. There's a very good audioguide available at no additional cost, with adult and child versions, but in German only. Near the end of the monastery tour there's an unexpected wealth of exhibits and information, mostly in German with little bits of English.

The site consists of free accessible ruins and a museum (entrance fee 6 euro). The museum includes the part of the monastry that is still complete

Great atmosphere of the middle ages, the audioguide for kids makes it an interesting family friendly destination (only in German though, as far as I can tell)

Very nice, very old, very well taken care of. There is a small museum and you can walk through the old rooms.
