The scent of the Riesling vines penetrated the morning fog as we waited for our train (on time) at this marvel of German engineering. Recommended for you traveling needs in the Mosel region.

This is a great station for this size town. The salamanders are great to look at. They live in the decaying stones. The low point is the homelessness. There were 2 people that were sleeping on the station. It is just not that busy at the station and i like the quietness.

Es ist fantastisch, dass es hier einen Bahnanschluss nach Cochem und Trier gibt. Wie ich allerdings gerade gehört habe, soll der Haltepunkt im Herbst 2022 geschlossen werden. Und das, obwohl der Bahnhof eine ganze Region für Anwohner und Touristen (Moselradweg, Kloster Machern) erschließt. Wer trifft denn noch solche Entscheidungen, wo doch alle Signale auf MEHR ÖPNV stehen? Völlig (völlig!) unverständlich. Dazu passt, dass es keinerlei Hinweisschilder für den Bahnhof gibt. Nicht mal Google-Maps hat uns korrekt ans Ziel geführt... Das erklärt übrigens auch die 3 Sterne. Die Anbindung ist 5 wert, die Pflege der Infrastruktur maximal einen.
