St. John's Church

Most of the times i have visited Lüneburg it was closed. I managed to enter during the Christmas holidays for one of the celebrations. This church has some great artefacts that are definitely worse to see

This is a definite visit if you are in the area. Opportunity to relax and reflect in an old old historical building. They supply a good range of language guides -a donation can be given too.I normally hold Churches as cold however this building really ‘talked’to me -to calm down.
I believe ‘this life’ is Heaven, we are all experts so we think! but we are all very lucky that we are a part of a Planet just the correct distance from a burning Planet that allows the very essence of life -atmosphere/water/temperature -someone might have had a hand in this ??!!

Nice church with a tower of a very interesting shape, located on Am Sande. Church tower can be seen from the nearby water tower observation deck.

Must come if you visit Limburg.
There are hundreds shops around that you can buy souvenir , gifts or food .

It is the oldest Lutheran church in Lüneburg, built during the XIV century. A good example of the brick architecture that is so widespread in Northern Germany. It can be reached after a 10 minute walk from the train station.

Lüneburg is such nice architectonic jewel! A medieval little town, very well preserved with thousand of little details to make a nice photo.

Magnificent cathedral!

One of the three great churches of Lüneburg and it really doesn't let you down.
First of all the looks are just amazing. It tells the story of what it has gone through in the last centuries and it does really show you with how much passion and love the church has been held together.
The part I like about this is that it is really in the center of the city and it is involved in the various events happening on the ”Am Sande”. For example on Christmas holidays, they occasionally sell ”Glühwein" (an alcoholic beverage similar to wine but with more of an Christmassy flavour) or they do services too on Christmas and it is always a great pleasure to be there and to listen to what the priest has to tell us about God.
