Roemer and Pelizaeus Museum

I am completely in love with the Egyptian collection, especially with the mummy of an huge crocodile. But for this visit, my main focus was on the plagues and epidemic exhibition. Sadly, it was not allowed to take photos of the walk-in-HIVirus and other exhibits in the part of the exhibition located on the second floor. Btw, there a some elevators in the house, but I am not 100% sure that everything is easily reachable with wheelchairs. Please inform yourself before going there. The people at the desk were kind and helpful. Even when not into museums, check their staircase from the lobby without paying the entry fee. It's amazing!

Awesome museum that is providing a lot of insight into early Egyptology. Always good for a visit. The special exhibits are quite neat as well and offer a lot of value for the entrance fee. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has interest in Egyptology.

A really wonderful collection of historic artefacts, presented well, in a modern setting. Good facilities and events too. Easily one of the best museums in north-west Germany.

For fans of ancient Egypt there might not be a better place near here. It is a glorious museum, beautiful presented and interesting items. Total recommendation!
