Holiday Inn Express Trier, an IHG Hotel

It is a great location for those who want to explore the city of Trier on foot and wander from street to street. It offers comfortable and peaceful accommodation with its affordable private parking. The modernity and comfort of the rooms, as well as the sufficiency of the breakfast, are very positive for the guests. Even To-go beverage presentations won our hearts. If you are lucky, you can also go to the Trier match if you like football 😀

Excellent hotel. Clean, big rooms, super breakfast. It is about 15min walk to the center.

Great service, clean, and good breakfast. Within 30 minutes drive to Luxembourg, very close to all the great sites in Trier.

Had a great stay here. Modern Holiday Inn Express. Had a nice room facing the Moselle. (I imagine the rooms facing the busy street in front of the hotel aren't quite as nice.) Everything in the room was in excellent shape.

Service was quite good for a limited-service property.

One little gripe: The hotel is a longish walk from the city center. Not attractive restaurants are nearby (there is a Burger King and a cheap Balkan restaurant, but that's not my cup of tea).

The location is good for its proximity to the river (e.g., great for cyclists).

Right by the Mosel, we had two rooms which used up our remaining IHG points.

Very close to downtown, walking to the Porta Nigra is doable. We stayed two nights, house keeping did a great job for arranging our room. Breakfast was also satisfying. Parking needs to be booked in advance.

Brilliant overnight place to stay when you are travelling Germany and/or coming to/from France. The hotel is in prime condition with very nice rooms and great breakfast included.

A good hotel with clean, modern, minimalistic rooms. Located a bit far from the city center but very close to the Mosel embankment. My wife and I like walking, and we don’t have a car, so we noticed that the infrastructure near the hotel was optimized for cars — not pedestrians (not something critical, but it might be important for you to know). The breakfast was pretty good; as for warm dishes, they offered pancakes and boiled eggs.

We had a last minute stay in Trier and this place is great, clean, air-conditioned, good brealfast and friendly staff. Its a <10 minute walk into the inner city and you are quickly in and out of the city with a car. Would definitely come back:)

I stayed at the Holiday Inn on New Year’s Eve after a very tiring drive from Bonn. I had no reservation so it was quite a task finding a hotel. Finally, after finding the Holiday Inn on google and reaching there, my check in experience was out of this world. Gunther Klein, the front office agent checked us in very quickly and the whole process was really quick. He found me the perfect room and made sure the food was taken care of before my drive to Luxembourg in the morning. Beautiful hotel. Very pleasant stay. Thank you Guther!!

Hotel is located on the main Street into town. Parking is limited. Rooms are nice. They have a complimentary breakfast.
