Het Romeins - Germaans museum , geopend in 1946 en centraal gelegen in de schaduw van de Dom van Keulen op de Roncalliplatz , heeft een archeologisch erfgoed van de stad en haar omgeving van de prehistorie tot de vroege middeleeuwen .

Het museum wordt momenteel ingrijpend verbouwd en is gesloten voor onbepaalde tijd.
