Time Ride

i visited last November and it was really an amazing activity. the person who greeted us and introduced the ride was very helpful, spoke perfect English and was nice. all of the employees are great, kind and helpful.

the activity is awesome and we enjoyed it so much i wished that it was longer, especially the hat shop section, i learned a lot about Cologne in the 1920s.

don't miss this.

Very interesting experience. Ideal to learn more about the city of Cologne in the year 1926. The experience is available in English and German, we easily bought the tickets online on the day before our visit. The whole experience is a mix between video, virtual reality and a nice interactive experience at a hat shop. Totally recommend it for small groups of adults. It's significantly less crowded if you take it in English.

I walked by this museum, and I saw some digital people on a TV in the window. When I looked inside I saw people sitting in a tram wagon with VR glasses on. So this I had to see. The price of admission is 19.00 for 1 adult. But I found it worth while. You enter the museum where you buy the ticket. Then you enter a room that looks like an theater. Here you have some history of Cologne. And most importantly the Carnival of 1926. You go on the journey to deliver the hat to the new prince Carnival. After the theater you'll enter the hat store where you will learn a thing or two about hat making. When that tour is over a case with the hat is given to the tour group, and you will enter the tramline and make a VR tram ride through Cologne 1926 to the new market to hand over the hat to prince Carnival 1926. The VR looks amazing. And you really need to watch in all directions because a lot happens during the ride.

This is an absolute Must see when you visit the City of Cologne.

This really takes you back in time! Very high production value, great staff ready to make your experience wonderful, and excellent virtual reality ride through Cologne. Highly recommend to anyone just arriving to the city and locals and all in between!

Brilliant experience, available in German and English. We went for the German experience and the accent was super authentic and hard to follow but so worth it! Excellent combination of movies, life show and VR ride. Highly recommended

Great experience, a beautiful time travel to the 1926 carnival after a pause coused by the great war, we also leaned about the art of hat making which became more popular after the women's rights movement. The staff were enthusiastic and friendly. Highly recommended.
We went there directly and bought tickets for the next show.

Virtual tour, the ticket is 13€, a silent movie is offered for about 20 minutes, a short history of Cologne, then you get on the first electric tram in 1926, interestingly, there is an attraction almost every 30 minutes.

Excellent VR Ride with an incredible level of detail. Naturally, there can be no photos of the actual ride but it is the best event in Cologne to get a real feeling for the history of this city and how it felt to live in the past. Try it at all costs.

Very cool experience of a historical Cologne electric trolley ride. Great history of the city and short film. The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable. They also went out of their way to give us as a separate presentation in English. The VR could have had better visuals and effects but it was enjoyable. The trolley you sit on moves to the visuals and air vents blow a breeze across you face when it should. Very cool, check it out!!

Well, this was an unexpected pleasure, the history of Cologne circa 1926, told by a couple of guides, a film, a talk on hat making, and a VR tour around Cologne on a tram, showing the City as it was before it was destroyed by the RAF in WW2.

wow... now that was impressive. My first VR experience...loved it. The scenery is pretty good rendered (Skyrim like... far from Witcher 3) but still extremely enjoyable. I really love the idea to be transported back in time and see how it was. The ride is rather short but the whole experience is definitely worth the €. The headgear is an oculus rift.

Brilliant! I wish it was longer. You must add this lovely interactive experience to you list when in Cologne. It's a real trip highlight and the customer service is phenomenal.

This experience explains (in english) Carnival in 1926 Cologne, through a cinema experience, a hat making explanation and then a VR experience on a tram. So good and unexpected.

Honestly one of the highlights of my 7 week Europe trip!
Available in German and English (on separate time slots), I can't think of many more interesting ways of spending less than an hour learning about a slice of history. Utterly brilliant. I seriously considered going again the same day.

It's worth the price, the experience is interesting, Cologne has a lot of stories and Karneval is the most representative festival that brings joy and happiness to the city, I loved it!

This is a must for everyone living here or visiting. It shows the old Cologne in VR. Before the VR ride, a short historical video is shown which is super interesting. Loved the whole experience.

You have to see it! There should be more of that stuff everywhere, especially in post-war countries, where what was rebuild is often not as magnificent as it was before the war. Wonderful introduction, fun, informative, beautiful.

The journey was amazing going back in time to 1909, Cöln! Staff has a super knowledge about Köln, that little VR footage has so many amazing, funny details. No spoiler, visit Time Ride VR Cologne!! :)
