We had a wonderful stay at Gasthaus Lamm. Waldenbuch is a cute town easily accessible by S-Bahn from Stuttgart then bus. The town is very quaint with quite a few restaurants, but please be aware that the town's quite day is Monday. No restaurants are open on Mondays. This took us to the nearby town of Tübingen by bus for dinner on Monday at Gasthaus Bären which was worth the trip to Germany alone. The Ritter Sport factory (museum closed Monday - cafe and choco shop opened on Mondays) is a very short walk from Gasthaus Lamm. The bus lines are very easy to figure out, and all of the signs are extremely clear. I wish we had bus lines like these around us in the US. Our Gasthaus hostess was very sweet and let us in around 15:30. If you don't have a phone that works in Germany, you may need to ask a local shop to call the hostess for you if you arrive before 15:00. The rooms were extremely clean, and I was delighted to see a full bathroom with a tub, sink, and toilet in our room. I want to also emphasize how clean the bathrooms were. The room was of course plain compared to US standards, but the cost, simplicity, and cleanliness are not to be compared. Amazing. Also, a nice flat screen TV with cable was also in our room. There may have been wifi, but we did not have the password. Be sure to ask if you need it. We enjoyed the night without being connected. Her breakfast was stunning, and I really appreciated the delicious Marizpan & poppy seed yogurt. She was so warm and welcoming and even complemented me on my German which was so sweet :-) I hope to one day return to Waldenbuch, and we will of course book our stay at Gasthaus Lamm.

Die Pizza war Hervorragend…nicht umsonst war der Pizza-Meister auch Weltmeister…Pilze, Artischocken und Tomatensoße waren frisch und nicht aus der Dose, der Teig dünn wie bei Guter Pizza gewohnt…lecker Schinken und Salami dazu. Empfehlenswert!!! Achso und der Salat war knackig und frisch!!! Morgen wird der Auflauf probiert!

Sehr gepflegtes, sauberes Hotel mit original italienische Küche. Pizza und Pasta voll lecker, sehr freundliches Personal. Wer italienische Küche liebt muss mal dort hin 😍 Note1
