Foundation Auto Museum Volkswagen

If you are in Wolfsburg and visiting Autostadt but missed some actual Volkswagen history, I heavily recommend coming here. Can be easily combined on the same day. The museum may not be as sexy as the Autostadt itself, but at least you will get a good overview of Volkswagen history.

If you want to see Volkswagen history, this is your place, not Autostadt. Information posters only in german. There was few english quidebooks available but not enough for many visitors. Fortunately Google translate works good enough.

Full tour takes 1-3hours.

Enjoyed my visit to the Volkswagen Auto Museum in Wolfsburg. The museum has a good variety of Volkswagen models, providing a nice overview of the brand's history. The exhibits are well-presented and the staff is helpful. A pleasant experience for anyone interested in cars or Volkswagen's history.

For Auto enthusiasts it's must to visit place! There are a lot of concept-cars which you probably saw in car magazines many years ago!

Lovely and very informative museum. But could be more interactive things for kids. Like games with cars, or even an old beetle or camper for kids to go in and touch. Because they are NOT allowed to touch anything there at the moment.

Nice selection of cars to look at, reasonably price to get in and parking free. Staff were friendly.

If you are a VW fan you have to visit this place at least once!

Great place for all Volkswagen fans. A lot of cars, historical ones, prototypes and many many more. If you want to stand next to the T1 buses in various types of chasis, Kaffers and other VWs and smell a gasoline and oil - this place is just for you

An excellent full of history little gem in the heart of Wolfsburg. Prototypes, production vehicles from the 1940's till the early 2020's accompanied by full description. A MUST for the enthusiasts and a great place for family visits. Ample parking. Very cheap ticket.

Fantastic place to visit for all petrolheads! Great museum with plenty of amazing vehicles reaching the very begining of motorization. Brand pavilions are so, so - just like visiting any car dealer - nothing extraordinary, yet presented in a bit different style. Overall well spended time with an amazing slide as a bonus! ;)

Worth a visit in the city of Volkswagen. They have cars from all the eras, of all different colors, and modifications. Takes about 2 hours to look at all the cars, will obviously take more if you go into the details of each of them.

Very nice place, I was missing the 16V Golf, but amazing what VW did build..if you are visiting Wolfsburg, you should stop by, eady to drive abd big parking lot

Worthwhile to go to!!

Arrived after flying from New York and driving from Berlin, just as the museum opened. Lots of vintage and historical Volkswagens displayed and definitely worth the ticket price. Between this museum and Autostadt there should be more vintage VW items to purchase as souvenirs, gifts, etc.

Best auto museum in wolfsburg. Classic, vintage and modern collection of cars by Volkswagen. Perfect place for car lovers to visit. Cars range available from 1938 until now . Classic beetle collection is marvelous. Beautiful collection of VW's camper cars. It was fun to watch all kind of cars at one place.
