A choice of good German food is served there as well as good beer. The staff was really kind and helpful in all concerns.
The only disadvantage is the noise in the restaurant, but this is quite typical for German breweries.

Very surprised by this place. Went to Erlangen to finally see a town I'd passed by a hundred times on the way to Bamberg. Figured I'd also check out the two local breweries and figured this was the more commercial one and wouldn't be so great. Well, I was wrong. Great food and quite surprisingly good beer. It was pricey for Franconia but it's a fair sized town and close to Nürnberg. That said, the quality was there.

A cozy place where you can also can sit outside. Really nice during the summer. Very good beer and the food is also delicious. If you visit Germany you should go there.

The food here is very tasty traditional Bavarian food, the beer is brewed on premises as this is actually the oldest brewery in Erlangen. Definitely to be recommended.

Kitzmann brewery belongs to Erlangen like wheels to a car. It was founded in 1712 - yes even before the US Congress declared independence! It's a buzzing place and I strongly suggest to get reservations. The meals served are typically German - meat in all forms including intestines. Top speciality is the so called "Schaueferle" (pork). But also seasonal specialties are on the menu like asparagus. What do drink? Beer of course...Plenty of outside seating makes this place a favorite for locals and visitors from all over the world.
