Tennenloher Forest is the lungs of Erlangen. The vast greenery and the hiking trails are to die for. I visited it in a summer afternoon with my friends. There are a umber of clearings where people can set up for picnics or barbecue. There are some activity points and a bamboo tree house for people to visit. All in all, this was one of the best points of Erlangen.

Great place for a relax walk/cycle. Well kept and preserved forest. Understandably, as you move deeper; cell range is noticeably weak. So do be wary.

Very nice forest with many clean paths. Great for an afternoon walking with the family, cycling, jogging, ... And don't miss the park with the wild horses!

Great place to view sun rise. There are no wild predators in the first so you can go deep inside the forest and explore.
