We had a lovely home-cooked meal here with schnitzel and side salads. It's a small family restaurant on a quiet back street with some outdoor seating. Highly recommend eating here while you're visiting Bacharach.

We came here based on reviews and this family owned restaurant did not disappoint. The food was delicious. All four of us left beyond full and happy. The meatballs were exceptional. Definitely worth getting. The family aka the staff is super friendly and helpful with excellent recommendations.

It was the best food in Bacharach without question! The beef rouladen and the konigsberger meatballs were amazing! I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed the meal.

Ok it doesn’t look like much when you see the cheap garden chairs and pillows in front of it. And the interior screams outdated diner. But please do no get fooled by all that! We had a really really good Vienna schnitzel with a delicious salad. It was plenty of food of great quality! It was a good place to eat and I urge you to try it!

Door is always open so flies bugged us but maybe the owner could install a curtain!

We found this lovely family-owned restaurant while walking around the quaint, storybook town of Bacharach. The family were so very kind and the food was delicious! The complimentary peach liquor at the end of the meal was a delicious treat! I can’t recommend this restaurant any more!

We LOVED our meal here! This is a family owned restaurant and the food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed chatting with the Owner, his son and wife. Perfect meal with great atmosphere, food, wine and dessert! Highly recommend!

Wonderful hidden gem! The food is really good - we had beef, pork, salmon, and of course apple strudel, and it was all delicious. Pleasant and helpful waitstaff too. And there's a menu available in English!

Lovely place with homemade German cuisine and a wide selection of riesling wines. Had an amazing lunch!!

We accidentally came across this place while strolling back to our hotel and I’m glad we found it. The family run restaurant was very friendly and the food was so good and homey. The dishes were very comforting. The beef was so tender and it was the best sauerkraut I have ever had!

This place is a Hidden Gem. I stumbled upon this small restaurant serving German food in the small town of Bacharach on the bank of the Rhine. The food was one of the better prepared I have had on this trip. The portion size was generous, and the price was very reasonable. Would recommend for any traveler who stays in Bacharach.

We’ve been traveling in Europe for the last 3 weeks and this was one of the best meals we’ve had. All of our meals were delicious and came out shortly after ordering. If we had stayed in the area longer we would have gone back again.

We arrived at noon on a rainy Saturday and was told the restaurant opened at 1 pm by a young man. We arrived back at 1pm and the restaurant was already nearly full and the people already had their food and were nearly done eating. ? Didn't make sense.

The young man took our order for drinks and lunch after we waited 20 minutes. The young man was alone and clearly beyond his coping limit.

I ordered the Sauerbraten with Klöße and Rotkohl. The food was delicious !!

We enjoyed our meal and will definitely return often!

My suggestion is to have more experienced help during busy times.

We arrived in Bacharach late on a Monday. No one could take us in, all kitchens closed. These wonderful people offered to take us in and open their kitchen back up, only to give us the best Schnitzel we’ve ever tested. Fantastic service, wonderful lovely people and incredible wine. They made our days travel worth it, 1000x over

If you are looking for authentic, home cooking, this is the place. Fresh food, fully justifying the highest rating in the area. Very good value.

The dishes are very tasty, the portions are large and correspond to their cost. Friendly staff, excellent service
