The Lodge

If you have ever been to a British B&B, you now, a proper B&B, you know, we don't have that in Germany. We don't have the culture of greeting people warmly with the kettle on, with a few biscuits and a few questions of who you are, where you are from, what it is you want to do and see and all. We don't have a tradition of the hosts introducing other guests to you and vice versa. We don't have places to stay for a few nights that have style and grace, are a combination of old and new, of tongue-in-cheek tackiness and modern appliances. Or should I say: We _did_ not have that? Because The Lodge is just that! It is a magnificently jazzed up old farmhouse, a combination of sleek and modern and old-fashioned in the best possible way. And boy, are you in for a greeting by the hosts, Marina and Grant! You are not a guest, you are a long-lost friend! So, don't be stupid, book today - no, I mean it: Why are you still reading, when you should be on the website, booking your stay. I'll leave you to it ...

We stayed twice at The Lodge in Welzheim with Marina and Grant. What a beautiful place and what a pleasant stay. Marina and Grant are so warm and kind. The rooms are beautiful and have everything you need. What a beautiful stay in this wonderful Lodge.

Ein stilvolles, individuell gestaltetes Haus und Zimmer. Es besticht mit Liebe zum Detail und ausgefallenen Liebhaberstücken. Ein besonderer Aufenthalt, einfach zum wohlfühlen. Herzliche und liebevolle Gastgeber. Jederzeit komme ich gerne wieder in The Lodge.

Ein bestes quasi englisches Bed & Breakfast-Erlebnis, geschaffen von einer Deutsche und einem Australier: Man wird schon an der Türschwelle herzlichst willkommen geheißen wie bei alten Bekannten, und in ein ungewöhnliches umgebautes Bauernhaus hineingeleitet. Jede Ecke ist liebevoll dekoriert, es geht Stiegen hinauf, der Raum weitet sich in eine Wohnküche, eine große Terrasse zieht den Blick ins Grüne. Vom großen Kandelaber bis hin zur Türklinke eine gelungene Synthese aus Moderne und englischer Tradition (teilweise von der Insel importiert), alte Möbel bekommen im doppelten Sinne mit neuen Bezügen ein neues Leben, es gibt gemütliche Ecken zum Teil mit Humor, etwa die Nachttischlampen in Hasenform. Dank der Gastgeber fühlt man sich sofort zu Hause. Es schläft sich gut (wer gegen gewissen Straßengeräusche durchs geöffnete Fenster nicht immun ist, nehme sich Ohrsöpsel mit), am Morgen kann man eine Joggingrunde durch den schönen Wald drehen und danach ein herzhaftes Frühstück genießen. A home away from home - schade, dass wir schon nach einer Nacht abreisen mussten.

Sooooo ein tolles Hotel!!! 😃 Wir waren wirklich begeistert!!! Mit Liebe eingerichtetes Kleines Hotel und super Freundliche Besitzer!!! Man fühlt sich gleich total Willkommen! Und das Frühstück ist richtig lecker! Immer wieder gerne 🥰

Un luogo incantevole a contatto con la natura.I padroni di casa impeccabili, le camere confortevoli, arredate con grande gusto. La sera è piacevole intrattersi a chiacchierare nel bel salotto stile vittoriano. Ricercatezza e semplicità un mix ben riuscito.Ci torneremo senz'altro.

Natura pura a 360 gradi. Il lugo ideale x gli amanti del verde, degli animali e delle passeggiate salutari.
The Lodge, alle porte del parco naturale Schwäbischer Wald, è diventato il mio luogo preferito sia x i finesettima o x vacanze più lunghe.
I padroni di casa Grant e Marina con il loro modo cordiale, affabile e disinvolto fanno sentire gli ospiti al loro agio in ogni momento.
Assolutamente da raccomandare.

Alloggio perfetto per passare delle vacanze immersi nella natura, ma al contempo non dovendosi accontentare su nessun fronte. Ospitalità e confort sono sicuramente i punti forti.

Ich hatte einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt bei Grant und Marina. Ihre Gastfreundschaft ist aussergewöhnlich. Die Zimmer sind mit so viele Liebe und Details engerichtet. Die Lodge liegt direkt am Waldrand für ausgedehnte Spaziergänge.. ideale Lage für naturliebhaber.

Ich finde es ist nicht nur Urlaub es ist auch wie ein Zuhause ihr seit echt toll der 8te Tag ist bald vorbei und ich möchte einfach nicht gehen ich danke euch für alles 5 Sterne sind etwas zu wenig unvergessliche Momente super freundlich ihr fehlt mir jetzt schon ich werde auf jeden fall wieder kommen ❤
