Hällisch-Fränkisches Museum

Excellent time-travel exhibition of the geographical, social and political history of the Schwäbisch Hall and surrounding area.

A nice and organized museum shows the history and culture of locals. There is no English translation in most of the exhibitions but the staff gave me a English brochure that has a general information about the content of each main halls. Some places can only reached by stairs.

This is a well curated museum with lots of interesting artifacts, pieces of art, and information. I highly recommend going for a visit. It's a surprisingly large museum, so you'll need at least an hour or two to really get to see everything. Most of the museum is accessible via stairs, as it is housed in several historical buildings.

Great. The museum not just offer a background on Schwäbisch Hall it also displays historical objects and temporal exhibitions. The museum is free to visit and it's interesting that it is formed by 7 connected houses, which are of different styles and heights. The museography is well arranged, the backside is all the information is only German.

This is a fantastic museum in Scwäbisch Hall. I was shocked that there was no entry fee for the quality of the museum. There are several floors in two different wings that you can visit. The museum contains the history of Scwäbisch Hall and the surrounding area from prehistoric times all the way up to the late 20th century. Unfortunately there are no English descriptions on exhibits, so you'll need to understand some German, or you'll have to settle for just looking at the visuals. It takes about 1½ - 3 hours to get through the entire museum if you take your time and look at and read everything. If you're in the area, this museum is definitely worth the visit.

Nice museum for the history of Schwäbisch Hall and its neighborhood. The building is very nicely integrated into a couple of old downtown buildings. The exposition stretches from prehistoric times into the 20th century.

Daumen hoch für dieses Museum. Ich war hauptsächlich wegen der archäologischen Abteilung im Museum. Ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Mein Highlight: die keltische blaue Glasaugenperle. Hier gibt es von der Steinzeit bis zum Blechspielzeug viel zu sehen. Der Eintritt ist frei.

Sehr schön gestaltetes Museum, bei dem zwei alte Stadthäuser in ein modernes Museum verwaltet wurden.

Die Exponate sind nicht spektakulär, aber vermitteln einen authentischen Eindruck von der Geschichte Halls und seines Umfelds

Ein tolles Museum mit vielen Exponaten zur Geschichte der Stadt. Interessant auch die Räumlichkeiten in einem mittelalterlichen Wohnturm und der ehemaligen Stadtmühle.

En visitant cette très belle ville de Schwabisch hall, arrêtez vous au musée de la ville. Très intéressant. Gratuit. Le musée est en partie dans une tour très ancienne. De très belles œuvres, dont une collection unique ( jamais vu en ce qui me concerne) de cibles peintes du XVIIIe siècle.

Ein sehr interessantes Muaeum von Schwäbisch Hall und Umgebung. Wir verbrachten rund 4 Stunden hier und es wurde uns nicht langweilig. Unser Pech war, dass der Bereich Spielzeug und 30jähriger Krieg derzeit umgebaut wurden. Aber vielleicht beim nächsten Besuch Halls.
Der kostenfreie Eintritt war sehr überraschend.
Für Kinder nicht empfehlenswert aber bei Geschichtsinteresse ist dieses Museum ABSOLUT EMPFEHLENSWERT

Der Aufbau des Museums ist gut. Wir haben im Keller gestartet. Mit archäologischen Funden, Mammuts, Frühzeit und Römerzeit. Je höher die Räume liegen umso näher kommt der Besucher an die heutige Zeit. Der Teil des Museums führt aufsteigend durch das Mittelalter, Bau und Kirchengeschichte. Ein weiterer Trakt vom etwa 17. Jahrhundert bis in die heutige Zeit. Die Exponate sind gut präsentiert, der Besuch ist kurzweilig und interessant. Die Gestaltung ist abwechslungsreich und anregend.
